If you thought we were done with new booths at the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, we have an awesome surprise for you!
The 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially begun, and there is a lot to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you. We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Hawaii Booth — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at the Hawaii Booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. We have some sweet, we have some savory, we have some brews, we have some fruity cocktails. We have a Hawaiian vacation, right here in the middle of EPCOT.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
We’ve had versions of all of these items in the past, but we were interested to see how they compared to years prior. Usually, we REALLY like this booth!
Eats
First, we started with the Kalua Pork Slider. This slider features sweet-and-sour DOLE pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise you can grab for $6. This is a festival favorite of ours. Last year, it had a bit of a spicy kick at the end — but not too much. We did have a soggy bun issue with it then, but it was still delicious. We didn’t notice as much of a bun issue this year and it was just as tasty as we remembered. Just a good sweet and savory combination and then add on that spicy mayo? PERFECTION.
Next up, we tried the Hawaiian Rice Bowl, which features eggs, SPAM, spicy mayonnaise, eel sauce, and furikake for $6.25. To be honest, this is a super familiar deconstructed version of the SPAM Sushi we had last year. We were super intrigued by this dish! We did NOT expect this to be SO GOOD. The spam is cooked perfectly and pairs so well with the other flavors. We ate EVERY LAST BITE of this one and we have NO regrets.
Ready for something sweet? For our dessert, we grabbed the Passion Fruit Cheesecake for $5. This is served with toasted Macadamia nuts. This little beauty has also been a favorite of ours. Last year, it was perfectly creamy and had the signature texture of good cheesecake. It’s a light and fluffy dessert that just has EVERYTHING going for it.
Our reporter isn’t even a big fan of passion fruit, but this cheesecake just worked.
Drinks
You want a beer? Wine? A cocktail? Hawaii has one of each, so it’s got you covered!
A new item is available here, the Maui Brewing Co Orange Mango Guava Hazy IPA for $5.75 for 9 oz and $9.75 for 12 oz.
Next is the Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine, from St. Petersburg, FL, for $10. We’ve seen this wine at various booths at several different EPCOT festivals over the years. It usually has a strong pineapple flavor and is very sweet, so it should be refreshing on a hot day, but only if you enjoy sweet wines.
Finally, you can grab the Aulani Sunrise cocktail, which is made with Vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and Grenadine for $14. In the past, this has proven to be a VERY sweet drink with a lot of pineapple flavor. We liked it a lot last year and think that it would appeal to a lot of people with simple, delicious flavors. It’s very pineapple-forward, so if you love that flavor, this is the drink for you. It’s also not as sweet as you might expect it to be.
What makes this cocktail so refreshing is that it also pairs well with all the food available at this booth.
OVERALL
The Hawaii food booth is one that never disappoints us, and it’s always been a favorite of ours at this festival. This is probably one of those booths we’ll return to again and again throughout the next few months, if only for that cheesecake. This is the one EPCOT Food & Wine Festival food booth that is consistently good from year to year.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
