The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has officially started!
EPCOT was festival-less all summer, so we were super excited to have one of our favorite festivals back! We have been covering the Food and Wine Festival for 15 years, and we have learned a thing or two during that time. Each year, we try so many different dishes that you would think we lose track of our favorites, but trust us, we dream about some of the dishes we try at the Food and Wine Festival.
This year, we got to try a lot of new dishes that blew our minds, like the Tostada de Camarones from the Mexico booth. And how could we forget how delicious the Paella Negra is from the Spain booth? We love new items and we love getting to try them, but we can’t lie; we get a little excited when we see previous menu items return each year.
This year, our team could not just pick one dish to be our favorite returning menu item. And as it turns out, three returning items are loved so much that we decided to settle on our top three dishes.
EVERYTHING You Need to Eat and Drink at the 2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival
Our team keeps their fingers crossed for three items each year, and they all involve cheese, and after some debate, in our minds, these are the best-returning items.
Cheddar Cheese Soup from Canada
Each Food and Wine Festival we await the menus to drop and hope that the Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup makes its return to the Canada booth. We are happy to report that this soup, which is served with a pretzel roll, is back again this year.
This is a dish that we get every. single. year. It is really that good. Almost everyone on the DisneyFoodBlog team can agree is a solid Food and Wine dish.
While the pretzel roll can be tough from time to time, it is so yummy to dip in the soup.
Schinkennudeln from Germany
What do you get when you mix pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese? The answer? A must-get on our Food and Wine list every year.
It is comparable to a mac ‘n cheese casserole and is arguably the most popular dish at the Germany booth each year. It is very hearty, so you may feel like taking a nap afterward.
Pão de Queijo from Brazil
We love bread just as much as cheese, and this dish combines both!
The Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) is super chewy, cheesy, and just the right amount of greasy. We hope this continues to make its return every year.
Not only are these three dishes so good, but some of them even qualify for Emile’s Fromage Montage. We told you we like cheese and Emile’s Fromage Montage is a cheese crawl! Simply pick up your festival passport, order qualifying items, get your passport stamped, and then pick up your completion prize.
This year, the following dishes will get you a stamp closer to completing the Fromage Montage:
- The Alps Marketplace
Any Warm Swiss Cheese Raclette - Brazil Marketplace
Pão de Queijo - Festival Favorites
BBQ Pork Rinds (NEW) - Forest & Field
Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli (NEW) - Greece Marketplace
Griddled Cheese - Hawaiʻi Marketplace
Passion Fruit Cheesecake - Macatizers
Any Macaroni & Cheese - Milled and Mulled
Boursin® Fig & Balsamic Cheesecake (NEW) - Spain Marketplace
Spanish Charcuterie - Germany Marketplace
Schinkennudeln
After you have at least five stamps, you can head to Shimmering Sips Marketplace to grab a free treat! This year, the treat is a Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Soft Serve! It’s topped with cheesecake and graham cracker crumbs. You even get to keep the cup it comes in!
While so many great other items made their return this year, these three cheesy items are always a must-get. Remember, if you want to try any of these dishes you have from now until November 23rd to do so! As always, keep following along with DisneyFoodBlog!

Do you have taste buds? The soup is a bit spicy and has too much pepper. The German mac and cheese is just a lump of grossness and the Brazil bread is so gummy. The Swiss raclett is super salty. The griddled cheese is greasy. Everything at macatizers is disgusting, undercooked pasta and either bland or spicy sauce. The only thing good on that list is the passion fruit cheesecake. They need to bring back the boursin mac and cheese. Now that was delicious!
