Look at this photo. It’s perfect. The greenery is stunning. The foliage is fantastic. The floating mountains are monumental. Disney did something RIGHT when they built Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — that’s for sure.

We’ve been taking in the sights, sounds, and even smells of this land ever since it opened, so we know a thing or two about the land and everything inside it. That’s why we were especially perplexed by this WEIRD new addition at Pandora. We need to talk about it.
OK, so we know a thing or two about the water in Pandora. That sounds so oddly specific, but it’s true. We even know about the fake waterfall. (Shh! Don’t tell anyone.)

So imagine our surprise when we visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently and noticed some new…foam (?) in the water.
Wait, what?!
Here’s a closer look. But don’t worry — we can get even closer.
The water looks…soapy?
OK, this is weird. What’s going on with the water here?!
WEIRD!
For comparison, this is what the water is SUPPOSED to look like. As you can see, the water is foam-free. So it’s not like the substance is coming from the waterfall!

Naturally, we had to do some digging. We asked a Cast Member, and they agreed that this foamy substance was out of the ordinary. In fact, they didn’t know what it was either! Could it be some sort of cleaning solution? Was this intentional? It’s hard to say!
Very interesting…
We’re gonna have to chalk this one up as an ongoing mystery for now. Could it be a prank (we seriously hope not!)?
