It’s pumpkin season, bby!
That’s right, we’re officially into the fall and Halloween season, and Disney World is celebrating HARD. We’ve already been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and tried a bunch of seasonal treats, but we’ve still got room for more. And if you’re a pumpkin fan, there’s one spot you need to know about in EPCOT!
Tucked away back in the France Pavilion at EPCOT is L’Artisan des Glaces, the ice cream shop. This spot is known for hand-scooped ice cream in a variety of yummy flavors, as well as specialty treats like macaron ice cream sandwiches or ice cream scoops pressed into a warm brioche.
And each fall, L’Artisan brings back pumpkin ice cream! It recently returned to the shop as a scoop flavor, as well as an option for their seasonal macaron sandwich. (Which is a two pumpkin macarons filled with pumpkin ice cream!)
I ordered a single scoop of pumpkin ice cream in a cone for $7.95 to try it out, and it definitely comes out looking like its flavor — it’s a light orange shade. And if you like pumpkin, the flavor is spot-on. It’s not too sweet and it tastes like canned pumpkin pie filling.
However, I was unfortunately a smidge disappointed in the quality of the ice cream. The last two times I’ve had ice cream from L’Artisan, I’ve noticed that their ice cream flavors are getting a little too frosty and losing their creamy texture. This one had some ice crystals throughout that diluted the flavor and kept the texture from being nice and smooth. Hopefully, this is just some kind of freezer or storage problem that could be easily fixed!
If you’re a pumpkin fan, you still might want to stop by and try out this seasonal treat. It’s definitely warm enough in Florida to treat yourself to ice cream during the day! And stay tuned to DFB for more updates on new snacks to try in the parks.

Ice cream may be frosty to give you a chance to eat it in the Florida heat, maybe, I don’t know. Too bad its not creamy. Try Italy, Gelato should be creamy
