Disney ditched its Genie+ service earlier this year, and it was replaced with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.
Although the new service is, more or less, the same, it also offers the option to pre-book Lightning Lanes BEFORE your Disney World trip (seven days in advance for those staying at Disney World hotels and three days in advance for everyone else). The pricing for Lightning Lane Single Pass has remained similar to that of the Genie+ individual attraction selection, but we just noticed that a price increase is on the way!
Because you now have the option to pre-book Lightning Lane Single Pass in advance, we can check the prices for those earlier. Well, we looked at the prices for October 18th, and TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom has reached its highest price yet, at $21. This is an all-time high price for the ride, suggesting Disney anticipates October 18th to be a busy day in Magic Kingdom because price is based on anticipated demand. Note that these prices were different from when we previously checked prices for that specific date.
We also noticed that prices for Lightning Lane Single Pass for several other rides are going up, too, on October 18th. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, also in Magic Kingdom, is going up to $13 (previously high price was $12), while Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT will cost $18 (previous highest price was $17).
The Lightning Lane Single Pass for Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom is $17. Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios is $25. We’ve previously seen those prices for both rides, so those haven’t changed from their normal highest price. We also noticed that Lightning Lane Multi Pass for October 18th also went up from what we previously had originally seen for both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
So if you’ll be visiting Disney World on October 18th, you’ll want to make a note in your budget to account for these price increases.

I’m sure plenty of people will pay that much but not me.

Money, money, money…I don’t think Disney understands that most loyal fans save up and have a finite amount of money for their vacation….buy Tron, skip two snacks. buy Guardians, drink water and skip the Violet Sake, buy Avatar, skip lunch and buy popcorn, etc! Buy two rides for family of four each day and stay at the Maingate Inn in Kissimmee for $44/night. Money, Money, Money…🤣🤣🤣
