We have a confession to make: we kinda love Disney World hotel food courts.
You know the ones — they’re often found at Value hotels and the occasional Moderate resort, and while on the surface they may not seem too exciting, we love them for the sheer variety of foods you can find. There’s almost always something for just about anyone! But lately, one of our favorite food courts has been under refurbishment — and it’s now partially back open!
BREAKING FOOD COURT NEWS! Part of the refurbishment at Everything Pop! at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is now complete — and we’re kind of obsessed. We love the Mid-Century Modern vibes of the decor, the color, everything! We guess you could say that everything does really pop with this new look.
Update on the refurbishment at Pop Century! Much of the seating is still blocked off, but nonetheless the refurbishment is looking GREAT! pic.twitter.com/iMua06d75Q

Part of the seating area had been blocked off, but has now reopened with new tables, chairs, booths, and more. It’s a bright, fresh look that we think goes really well with the overall vibe of this hotel.
In addition to the seating area, the food counters and register area also got a refresh.
Part of Everything Pop! is still blocked off, though, so it looks like the full refurbishment isn’t quite complete just yet. In fact, we noticed that about half of the store portion of this shopping and dining combo is behind a screen. There are still plenty of souvenirs to peruse, though.
Because of this refurb, the normal entrance to Everything Pop! is closed…
…but there are plenty of signs out directing you on how to get to where you’re going! During the renovations, only Mobile Order was available at Everything Pop! but now, you can order in person (and still with Mobile Order, too!)
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more changes at Everything Pop! For now, though, it looks like there’s still a little ways to go before it’s back to being fully operational. Luckily, you can still grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner here during the renovations.

Thanks for the update, DFB! You guys are always on top of it.
I admit I’m disappointed that the renov of this resort is going beyond the original end date in the last half of Sept to late Nov (2 months!), as my friend and I are staying here in early Nov and were looking forward to the FULL Disney resort experience. It just dampens the vibe with this going on. I normally don’t complain about efforts to upgrade a space, but Disney charges guests SO much that the expectation is different for me with their resorts. Plus we made our reservation under the assumption this would be complete; we did our research beforehand with the information that Disney made public but are now wondering whether we should stay here or consider anlternative options — less than a month from our trip.
That said, have others run into similar situations? If so, did Disney do anything to make your experience better? Room upgrade? Other perk or pixie dust? At this point, we’ve done most of our planning from THIS resort, so changing would require a big effort to reorient and rebook reservations for things. Hoping folks can share their wisdom! Thanks!

Rick, Since Disney did not do anything for the guests when it was just mobile ordering, they are sure not going to do anything now. If you would have wrote this back when it was only mobile ordering allowed and none of the food court was open, I would have agreed that there should be some compensation to the guests because that was a BIG inconvenience. But, not now when the food court has a sitting area and food counters open, the fridge area is open etc. To me that is just a very small inconvenience.

We were at Pop Century beginning of September. We did not have any issues with the renovation. We used mobile order as nothing was available at counter service and it was good. Plenty of seating. Pop is a great resort. Rick W I believe you will enjoy your vacation. And agree DFB is wonderful with all of their updates.
