Going to Disney World is about to get more expensive.
There are several October traditions that Walt Disney World fans love: The ongoing International Food & Wine Festival, Halloween celebrations headlined by Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and even the commemoration of Walt Disney World’s October 1971 opening. However, there’s one longstanding October “tradition” many actively dread: Price Increases.
Throughout Walt Disney World’s 50+ year history, ticket prices at the resort across all levels have risen relatively consistently over the years, especially in the last several decades. 2025 is no exception, as Disney has once again announced that ticket prices are going UP.
We had already seen price increases for 2025 earlier this year in February, but the Disney World calendar was only showing dates through October, with November and December 2025 remaining a mystery — until now. Prices have been released for those final months and it looks like they’ve been hit with increases as well.
In November 2025, one-day, one-park ticket prices will start between $159 and $174 depending on the date and park you choose, with prices increasing from there.
The week of Thanksgiving is typically a pretty popular time to visit the parks, with Thanksgiving Day being no exception. On November 27th, 2025 (Thanksgiving), it’ll cost you $199 to visit Magic Kingdom, $189 for EPCOT, $194 for Hollywood Studios, and $174 for Animal Kingdom.
That’s quite a jump from November 2024 pricing, where the range is between $144 and $164.
The starting price range for Disney World park tickets in December 2025 is similar to November — between $159 and $174 depending on the date and park.
On December 16th — the week just before Christmas, so not quite as busy as Christmas based on these prices — it will cost $184 to visit Magic Kingdom, $174 for EPCOT, $184 for Hollywood Studios, and $164 for Animal Kingdom.
In December 2024, starting ticket prices range from $149 to $164, so this is yet another pretty significant jump.
Prices increase even more when you consider a Park Hopper Ticket. These are the most “deluxe” tickets you can buy, as they allow you to visit up to four parks in a day. On Thanksgiving Day 2025, a Park Hopper Ticket will cost $264 — compared to the same day in 2024 costing $253. That’s an $11 price increase!
Similarly, a Park Hopper Plus Ticket for Thanksgiving Day 2024 will cost you $273, while the same option on the same date will cost $284 per ticket in 2025 — another $11 price increase.
Park tickets aren’t the only price increases to hit Disney World this month. We’ve already seen Annual Pass price increases — effective immediately — along with character dining and more. Check back here for the latest updates.
As has been the case for several years, Disney World’s ticket prices have once again increased. Stay tuned to DFB for further updates on the company’s price increases.

If they would stop building so much at one time, maybe they wouldn’t have to keep raising ticket prices. Disney is pricing people out. Soon only the very wealthy will be able to afford to go. It’s a shame.

I’ve been a Disney World fan since the park first opened in 1971, and I’ve collected animation art and other original Disney memorabilia over the years. I’ve taken my family, including my three wonderful boys, to Disney throughout their childhood. I’ve even participated in the Disney Marathon Weekend, completing the Disney Dopey Challenge five times. My wife and I love Disney so much that we even got married there, celebrating with 150 guests in the American Rotunda at EPCOT.
But now, I feel like it’s time to tap out. The costs have become outrageous, and it’s just not affordable anymore. Walt Disney’s vision was for Disney World to be a place for families, but now it seems like many families can’t afford to go. I think Walt would be turning in his grave if he saw what it’s become.

These prices! Thank goodness I took my family when they were children during the late 1997-2005. We used to buy length of stay with Park Hopper for such reasonable prices. We even vacationed after Christmas through New Year. I couldn’t afford that now, or, let’s say, I wouldn’t waste my money on that ticket. You just don’t get enough for the price.
Amber says
They say they raise the prices because of demand. What happened to first come first serve. When the park is full close the door. Instead, they want to have a bidding war who is willing to pay the highest price to come on this day.

I have been fortunate enough to visit DisneyWorld every year for the past 25 years. I started at Deluxe, then to Moderate and then to Value resorts. I am very sad to say I will now be priced out of the place Walt Disney wanted families to enjoy together. It is far too expensive for a family per day. Especially when you take into consideration the accommodations, tickets, food and souvenirs . I don’t think Walt was looking for a place just for the elite.
I understand prices rise but it is now out of control. All the reports say the theme parks are doing very well, so why task the patrons with the entire Disney Company profit?
Shame on you Disney!
Beth says
I often wonder how many people actually purchase a 1-day ticket?
That’s a lot to spend for one day!

My husband and I are heading to Orlando next week and plan to go to the parks a couple of days for one last visit. We’ve both been going to Disney World since it opened in 1971 when we were kids and have enjoyed many years of the magic of Disney and made lots of memories . However, this will be our last visit not because we are too old but because it seems the magic is disappearing quickly. The powers that be have decided that politics and making as much money as possible are more important than Walt Disney’s dream of a place where families can go to enjoy being together. I just read the article about the 2025 price increases. That sealed our decision not to return after this last visit where we will visit all our favorite places. The world is a big place and we will continue to travel and make memories…just not in any Disney park.

Is this what Disney lives for…to raise prices? Who do they think their customer is, Cornelius Vanderbuilt. Disney used to be someplace you could take the family and have fun. Now you have to mortgage one of your kids and make all kinds of reservations just to get in the door. I have a trip planned for early December, but I am getting exhausted just planning the trip and all I read about is how prices are going up. This will probably be my last trip to the most expensive place on earth.
