Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall sometime on Wednesday, October 9th, and Disney Cruise Line is taking precautions to keep passengers and Cast Members safe by canceling an upcoming sailing on the Disney Wish.
A cruise on the Disney Wish that was supposed to set sail on Friday, October 11th, has officially been canceled due to the storm. Those who were originally scheduled to be on this cruise will soon be receiving a refund back to their original form of payment. If that’s you, make sure you keep an eye out for that refund.
We’ve also seen closures hit SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
At the time of publication, both Disney World and Universal Orlando remain open — though that could change at any moment. Disney World had already restricted hotel reservations and park passes for Wednesday and has announced the closure of select hotels that may not be as safe as others.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the latest theme park closures in Florida and will let you know if Universal Orlando or Disney World announce any further closures — including to the parks.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for additional updates regarding Hurricane Milton that could impact your vacation. If you’re at Disney World or elsewhere in the storm’s predicted path, make sure you listen to local officials and news for the most up-to-date information.
