August offers another month to experience add more about Cool KIDS’ Summer in Disney World. But, surprise! August also heralds in the beginning of AUTUMN to Walt Disney World (albeit, a little early 😉 ) with the arrival of fall decorations on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. in preparation for the park’s Halloween celebration: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party*! Additionally, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival often kicks off in August.

*PLEASE BE AWARE: There are several dates starting in mid-August when Magic Kingdom closes early to accommodate this extra-ticket seasonal event.  

Want to know how many theme park hours you’ll have in August to experience all the fun? If so, there’s something you’ll want to know: park hours for all four Walt Disney World theme parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom — are released a few months in advance. Additionally, once posted, theme park hours are subject to change, and often are not finalized until around 2-3 weeks ahead of time.
