An exotic land of mystery and intrigue awaits… You’re entering Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland!
Pack up your sense of ADVENTURE as we explore all the rides, entertainment, and eateries that Adventureland has to offer!
Adventureland Attractions
Jungle Cruise
Welcome to the World Famous Jungle Cruise! Your dedicated Jungle Cruise Skipper will guide you through exotic rivers across Asia, Africa and South America. Here, you’ll see elephants, tigers, hippos, and more in the wild, along with unforgettable sites such as the Eighth Wonder of the World… the BACKSIDE OF WATER!
Yes, it’s all more than a little punny. And if you don’t believe me, then you’re in the river of… DE-NILE.
A (literal) PIECE of Disney History: Next time you take a ride on Jungle Cruise, take a closer look at the half of an airplane used in the attraction. The other half of this plane was previously seen in the Casablanca scene in what used to be The Great Movie Ride over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Height requirement: None
Ages: All
Access: Standby Line and Lightning Lane Multi Pass Tier 1 option; Lightning Lane Premier Pass option
Pirates of the Caribbean
“Yo Ho, Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life For Me)!” And if it’s a Pirate’s Life for YOU, matey, then join your fellow scoundrels and scalywags as you sail through the pillaged and plundered waters of the Pirates of the Caribbean!
And even though “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” I will tell you this… you may spy Captain Jack Sparrow among the many rapscallions on this beloved boat ride!
HIDDEN GEM: In the Pirates of the Caribbean queue, you’ll pass a window, and if you look down, you’ll spy two skeletons playing chess. The chessboard was set up so that the skeletons were locked in a stalemate, hinting at how they died…

Ages: All
Access: Standby Line and Lightning Lane Multi Pass Tier 2 option; Lightning Lane Premier Pass option

Swiss Family Treehouse
The Swiss Family Treehouse is a Magic Kingdom Opening Day attraction inspired by the classic Disney film, Swiss Family Robinson. When the family was shipwrecked, they made their home — complete with kitchen, library, and bedrooms — in this six-story, open-air abode.
And now YOU can climb it — and take in some amazing views of the park from the top! (To prepare for your adventure, you can view the Swiss Family Robinson on Disney+!)
Height requirement: None
Ages: All
Access: Standby Line
Helpful Information: Disney shares that: “In order to reach the top of the treehouse, you must be able to climb a total of 116 stairs.”
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin take you “over, sideways and under” (or, at least up and down!) “on a magic carpet ride!”
One carpet can hold four passengers on this flight offering fantastic views of Adventureland!

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Adventureland Dining
Table Service Restaurant
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen is based on a classic Disney attraction: the Jungle Cruise!
Here, the famous, wacky Jungle Cruise Skippers serve up some fun along with the internationally-inspired cuisine.
HIDDEN GEM: If you dine at Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd Skipper Canteen, there are a few different rooms where you could be seated. One of these locations is the S.E.A. (Society of Explorers and Adventurers) Room. As the story goes, the secret meeting room was previously hidden behind a bookcase, and you’ll pass that bookcase as you head inside. If you’ll look at the bookshelf, you’ll notice that The Jungle Book is tilted. That means that pulling this book out from the shelf is the way to open the hidden door to the S.E.A. room!
Counter Service Restaurants and Snack Stops
Head to Aloha Isle to pick up a tried-and-true Disney favorite treat: Pineapple Dole Whip!
Additional DOLE Whip flavors and variations on the treat are available, as well.
Sunshine Tree Terrace is a classic Magic Kingdom refreshment stop, boasting an iconic Magic Kingdom treat all its own: the Citrus Swirl!
And just inside, you can get a glimpse of the original Orange Bird!
Channel your inner Pirate! Tortuga Tavern welcomes you to a quaint Caribbean village at this eatery serving – as the sign says — “Grub and Grog!”
Alas, Tortuga Tavern is a seasonal location, so you’ll find it open only during the busiest of park days.
Don’t miss the Spring Roll Wagon! This colorful cart serves unique twists on the savory snack with rotating options featuring everything from Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls to Cheeseburger Spring Rolls to Reuben Spring Rolls, and more!
And, of course, there’s always plenty of buttery popcorn (along with glazed nuts and cold drinks) at the Adventureland Popcorn Cart.
Still to Come — A NEW Pirate Tavern
YO HO! Disney has announced plans for a new Pirate-themed tavern coming to Adventureland in 2025! Here, Pirates “of all ages” can “gather to tell their tales!”
According to Disney, “This first-of-its-kind experience will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.” The Barker Bird (also known as Peg Leg Pete!) will also take up residence in a new spot.
Disney Characters in Adventureland
Be sure to check My Disney Experience to see which characters are making appearances in Adventureland!
For instance, you may find that Captain Jack Sparrow himself is greeting his fellow pirates in the land!
Aladdin and Jasmine also make appearances at the Agrabah Bazaar.
P.S. You can find out more about all of the Character Meet-and-Greets in Magic Kingdom here.
More Adventureland Fun
A Pirate’s Adventure — Treasures of the Seven Seas is a free and interactive Pirates of the Caribbean-themed treasure hunt throughout Adventureland.
You can stop by the Crow’s Nest near Pirates of the Caribbean to start your journey and complete your FIVE missions! Each mission takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and does not need to be done consecutively (you can stop and start again throughout your day).
Shopping and Merchandise
On your search for pirate treasure? Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar is the gift shop at the exit of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
The sun shines BRIGHT in Adventureland! Stop at Island Supply by Sunglass Hut to find plenty of sunglasses and accessories, featuring brands including Ray-Ban, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Tiffany, Prada, Maui Jim and Oakley.
