We have a fun treat for you at the China Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase!
Let’s face it: Disney World is hot. With the exception of a few weeks out of the year, you’re going to be craving a refreshing drink as a mid-day treat. And Epcot’s Joy of Tea has just the thing for you!
We’re big fans of this snack stop. For such a tiny booth, it has a pretty extensive menu! The egg rolls and curry chicken pockets are tasty little snacks that will hold you over until your next meal while you explore the World Showcase.
And, most importantly, they have a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (including the fan favorite Tipsy Ducks in Love!).
Today, we’ll check out the Bubble Milk Tea!
We are back at Wilderness Lodge’s Whispering Canyon Cafe, and this time it’s just for dessert! It seems like we were just visiting this favorite fun spot of ours for dinner but after hearing rumors about a new GIGANTIC dessert we had to make our way back… .
Making its sort-of debut is the…drumroll please…10-Gallon Challenge!
Why sort-of? This item hasn’t made the official menu yet and will most likely be in a testing phase for the next few months. But don’t let that stop your party from ordering it for now. Just consider it to be a secret menu item!
As we eagerly count down the days until the start of the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, we’re already making our list of all the things we have to eat! (And speaking of counting down — check out our Countdown Sale!!)
This year’s Festival – which runs from September 14 until November 14 – features some tried-and-true favorite Marketplace Booths and some new booths!
Today we’re going to check out two of the new booths: THE CHEW Collective and Islands of the Caribbean!
Last year marked the first appearance of booths inspired by ABC’s ‘The Chew’ with the debut of Chew Lab and Sustainable Chew. This year guests can check out the all-new THE CHEW Collective.
You’ll find THE CHEW Collective in the Next Eats section of Future World. You don’t want to miss this marketplace booth!
Rise and Shine, my friends… It’s time for breakfast in Disney Springs!
What? You don’t particularly think of Disney Springs as a breakfast destination? Granted, when I think of dining in Disney Springs, my mind immediately jumps to a lot of great spots to grab some dinner and take in some of the revitalized nighttime atmosphere in the area since its transformation from Downtown Disney. In fact, some spots like Morimoto Asia are even focusing on the night owls with menus dedicated specifically to Late Night Dining.
But with all the new additions over the past year or so, Disney Springs is becoming a place where you really can spend a huge chunk of a day if you enjoy strolling around and shopping or taking in some of the outdoor entertainment. So guess who’s got you covered for some earlier-morning eats?
Not exactly what you were expecting? I mean, what could a kiosk that focuses on the classic Canadian dish of Poutine (French Fries, beef Poutine gravy, and white cheddar cheese curds) possibly have to offer for breakfast? Well, let’s not forget… The Daily Poutine also serves three variations on the traditional version. And to those, we can add one more: the new All-Day Breakfast Poutine! [Read more…]
Boy, oh boy… do we ever have a treat for you today!
Actually, make that TWO treats. Because when we saw a sign at Vivoli il Gelato for the new Creamsicle Float and Nutella Brownie Sundae, it was a no-brainer to to get them both.
Vivoli il Gelato celebrated its one year anniversary in The Landing of Disney Springs in June. Since its arrival last summer, we’ve gained so many new eateries all over Disney Springs that it’s been difficult to have a chance to revisit some of the additions that joined the scene waaaaay back in the day — as in, 2015 😉 . But there is still so much to discover about these relatively new spots that we’re excited to step back into Vivoli il Gelato — the second storefront for the family-run gelato shop based in Florence, Italy.
Here’s the shop (it can be hard to spot, so just head towards the higher profile landmark of The Boathouse, look across the street, and Voila!)…
And here’s that sign we mentioned for the two new creations: The Nutella Brownie Sundae and the Creamsicle Float! [Read more…]
We’re traveling to Animal Kingdom’s Asia to show off a couple new items on the Yak & Yeti (Anandapur) Local Food Cafes menu!
Not to be confused with the Yak & Yeti Table Service restaurant next door, Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes is a Quick Service option for adventurers on the go! Some items — though not the ones we’re checking out today — are even served in the most adorable Chinese food carry-out boxes.
As expected with Animal Kingdom, the restaurant is beautifully themed. This Indian market blends in perfectly next to the Maharajah Jungle Trek with advertisements for “local” companies, fruit stands, and a cool assortment of seating options.
The first thing you’ll likely see are the long lines, but as the arrow on the sign suggests, there’s plenty of room around the corner!
So don’t let this deter you… [Read more…]
Anybody remember the Ham and Cheese-Stuffed Pretzel that debuted in the Magic Kingdom in January?
It’s had a few homes there, including its original location of The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland, and it was also spotted at Gaston’s Tavern in New Fantasyland.
Most recently, it popped up again in Hollywood Studios at a relatively new snack cart right near Toy Story Midway Mania.
Well, on our last trip to Magic Kingdom, we found a new version of the stuffed pretzel at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments: the Sausage and Cheddar-stuffed Pretzel.
We thought we’d grab one to see how it differs from its Ham and Cheese counterpart.
Let’s start with the obvious difference: this one features sausage instead of ham 😉 . (I know. Who would have guessed?!) And, of course, cheddar cheese instead of Swiss. Sesame seeds are the main topper with this one, and just like the ham version, it’s served warm. The general setup makes me think of the ol’ Frankfurter in a Pretzel Roll at Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner. [Read more…]
We are so close to the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival that we can almost taste our favorite dishes!
There are some great new additions to this year’s event, but don’t worry — there are plenty of old favorites, too. Today, we’ll take a look at both!
Greenhouse Guru, sponsored by Village Farms, will debut this year with a menu celebrating tomatoes. We were super happy to finally hear official word of this one, having tried the Duck Confit dish earlier this Summer.
In addition, we welcome back two of our favorite returning Booths: Farm Fresh Marketplace Booth and the Canada Marketplace Booth.
Farm Fresh focuses on regional Farm to Market eats. This year we’re excited to see the return of the Loaded Mac n’ Cheese with Nueske’s Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Peppers, and Green Onions!
And the Canada Booth is known far and wide for its Filet with Truffle Butter Sauce and its Cheddar Beer Soup – it’s a must-have item every Festival!
Let’s take a closer look at the complete menus so that we can all get start compiling our must-eat lists!
When we attended the Tables in Wonderland Epcot Food and Wine Festival Preview earlier this Summer, there was talk of a brand new Marketplace coming for 2016. There was even a dish available to taste from the new Booth. But the crazy part is — it didn’t have a name yet.
Last week, we finally found out a little more about our Mystery Booth! Greenhouse Guru, sponsored by homegrown Village Farms, will showcase the bounty of really delicious veggies grown hydroponically! [Read more…]
Let’s go to the beach to check out a new menu item!
OK, we all know that the demise of the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl at the Magic Kingdom’s Columbia Harbour House has been LONG lamented. But here’s a…maybe…replacement?
The Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is the counter-service restaurant shared by Yacht and Beach Club Resorts for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We don’t talk about this one much, because there’s not a lot here; and what IS here isn’t much to talk about. ;-D But that said, every once in a while this spot wows us with something unique and delicious.
If you walk into the lobby from the parking lot and take a left, you’ll see the entrance sign on your right. You’ll find a few indoor seats in the Solarium, a peaceful, sunny room down the hall, and outdoor seating along the covered walkway going toward the Beach Club Villas.
