Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters – a variant of the attraction featured at numerous Disney Parks around the world – has been open at Tokyo Disneyland since 2004. However, after a 20-year run, the attraction is going to close permanently in October 2024 to make way for a new ride based on a different Disney property!

Cirque du Soleil has a had a presence at Walt Disney World since the show La Nouba – complete with custom-built theater – opened in the area then known as Downtown Disney in 1998. That show ran for 19 years before closing on New Year’s Eve 2017. Its replacement show, the COVID-delayed Disney Animation-based Drawn to Life, premiered just under four years later in November of 2021.

A popular British game show is coming to Walt Disney World.
In for a Penny, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, launched in 2019. The series, which is based on a segment Mulhern formerly presented on a different British series – Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – follows the host as he “explores the streets of various UK cities to find people to complete various challenges. The challenges include filling cars with an exact amount of fuel and guessing the prices of items on a conveyor belt. Each show ends with the ‘In for a Penny, In for a Grand’ finale game, which includes people doing silly things in order to win £1,000.” Now the series is on its way to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
One of the most important tourism-related agencies in Florida has earned a prestigious commendation.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (or GOAA) operates two of Florida’s most important airports: Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL), the former of which is the main entry point to Walt Disney World for millions of travelers each year. The Disney Treasure is scheduled to make its maiden voyage in December of 2024. The ship – which will be the sixth in the Disney Cruise Line’s growing fleet – will serve as the sister ship to the Disney Wish. The two vessels will share some restaurants and menu items with each other, while the Treasure will features some exclusives as well.
