We’re eating our way around Disney World this week as a whopping 150 new food and drink items arrive just in time for the official start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration!

One of the restaurants that got a LOT of love and attention from Disney World when it comes to special 50th Anniversary treats is The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. After all, what we know today as The Plaza Restaurant was an opening day dining spot at Disney World back in 1971, so it totally should get its own special recognition!

REVIEW: If You Want Comfort Food For Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, EAT THIS.

Disney World has launched 150 new food and drink items around the resort in celebration of its 50th Anniversary, which is now in full swing!

What a food-filled day this has been at Magic Kingdom! We’ve been trying brand-new food and drink items in celebration of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, including treats from Aloha Isle, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, and Columbia Harbour House!

PHOTOS: EPCOT’s 3 New Neighborhoods Have Debuted in Disney World!

Part of EPCOT’s Transformation included the re-imagining of Future World into three new, distinct neighborhoods: World Discovery, World Celebration, and World Nature. These three sections would join World Showcase as the four themed areas of EPCOT!

Earlier this week, we learned that these three neighborhoods would officially debut in time for the start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration — as well as EPCOT’s 39th Anniversary. Today is the day, and the days of referring to “Future World” when describing the front half of EPCOT are behind us!

REVIEW: Steakhouse 71 Breakfast Is Both Affordable and Delicious in Disney World

There’s a new restaurant in town, and it’s called Steakhouse 71. We use the phrase “new” somewhat loosely since Steakhouse 71 is located in the former location of The Wave at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which closed earlier this year to make way for a new dining experience as part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
