Genie+ is already a controversial feature among Disney fans since FastPass used to be complimentary. It became an even more controversial topic since Disney introduced flexible pricing based on demand in October 2022. Now, Genie+ has been selling out daily and the price has gone up to $35. Why is this? Well, we may have some answers.

On top of Disney’s battle with DeSantis over the Reedy Creek District (now called the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District), Disney has been in the news for its large amount of layoffs.

There are several live-action remakes from older films including Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, and the upcoming Lilo & Stitch and Snow White movies. Now, there’s another live-action film that Disney is working on!
There is a lot going on between Disney’s Reedy Creek District (now called the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District) and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
On March 29th, 2023, the new Board of Supervisors that was appointed by DeSantis met for a second time to discuss several aspects of the District. The Board considered challenging some of the agreements with Reedy Creek’s former board that were approved before the new board took over and even threatened a lawsuit. Disney and DeSantis have gone back and forth commenting on the situation and now we’ve got another update.

Disney Enchantment debuted back in October 2021 to celebrate Disney World’s 50th anniversary. This show added projections along Main Street, U.S.A. and in the middle of its run, Disney added a section honoring Walt and Roy Disney. But now that the 50th anniversary celebrations have ended in Disney World, Disney Enchantment is going away!
