Doubloon Lagoon Pool
Doubloon Lagoon at Port Orleans — French Quarter is one of our FAVORITE pools on Disney World property. It’s so much fun, with a a 51-foot long water slide that looks like a sea serpent, a whirlpool spa, and Mardi Gras decorations. The pool closed back in January for a lengthy refurbishment and stayed closed through April 2024. Well, the pool is closed again.
We just got some HUGE updates at Disney’s second earnings call for fiscal 2024.

The call, which was held on May 7th, revealed a lot of details about the financial state of The Walt Disney Company, including how the company’s streaming business is doing, how the parks are doing, and even insight as to what is happening inside the film studios. Disney CEO Bob Iger has made it a priority in 2024 to bring quality and creativity back to Disney’s studios, and we now have an update on how that is going. The problem? One of the solutions is a bittersweet one.

The hours are long, the weather is HOT, and people can have some not-so-magical attitudes. I used to work at the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom, and although most of my friends were my fellow maids, I did have a few friends in other roles. Well, friends talk, and you find out the BEST roles to have at Disney World, and you find out the WORST roles to have at Disney World. The consensus among Cast Members might surprise you!
We recently found a very elusive snack in Disney World, and that’s not even the biggest problem. The BIGGEST problem is that it’s elusive, and ALSO happens to be one of our favorite new snack discoveries.
Tower of Terror Cookie
The Terror Cookie can be found at the Joffrey’s stand near the stomach-dropping Tower of Terror ride for $6.38. We knew it was available, but it has clearly been in the Twilight Zone because no matter how often we checked for it, it was never to be found. A Cast Member confirmed that it is hardly ever put out, and so we were HEARTBROKEN, because it’s delicious. Well, we just discovered something revolutionary.
With summer just around the corner, it’s hard not to look forward to those beach vacations, cruises, and even the fresh eats and drinks.

Located on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, the NEW Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will open to Disney Cruise Line passengers on select sailings in the summer of 2024! We now have a glimpse at some of the eats that will be available, and believe us when we say it’s time to get excited. 🤩
