Disney World
April 3rd marked Disney’s annual shareholder meeting, where we got lots of important updates, and then we continued getting even MORE news throughout the rest of the week. This post is going to serve as a roundup of all our FAVORITE news drops that Disney had in store for us, so keep on readin’ to stay in the loop.
If you’re a fan of all things Disney World, then you’ve probably heard about the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, which are currently undergoing a MAJOR refresh.

The newly remodeled cabins are set to open THIS summer, but we know that lots of Disney fans are a bit sad to see the old cabins go. We get it — lots of memories were made there! Well, what if we told you that these older cabins are FOR SALE?!
We absolutely LOVE seeing celebrities post about being at Disney World.
Cinderella Castle
It’s so much fun to see what they wear to the parks, where they choose to pose, and the things they choose to do to build their perfect park day. Recently, we’ve seen celebrities from Jason Kelce, to Olivia Rodrigo, to Queen Latifah visiting the parks. Another celebrity just posted on Instagram about their time at Disney World, and it truly reminded us that celebrities are just like us. But rich. And insanely gorgeous.
At the end of March 2024, a major part of the ongoing battle between Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came to an end.
Cinderella Castle
Although we are still waiting for a ruling on an appeal that Disney filed at the federal level, the state-level case reached a settlement. As a refresher, this state court case (2023-CA-011818-O: CENTRAL FLORIDA TOURISM OVERSIGHT DISTRICT vs. WALT DISNEY PARKS AND RESORTS US INC) was brought by the district against Disney. It claimed that certain agreements Disney entered into with the old board were null and void. Disney later filed a countersuit against the CFTOD board, claiming that they willfully failed to search for and produce documents pertinent to the case. A settlement was reached in March that includes the dismissal of the documents case as well. Now, we’re hearing from Disney on the matter once again, but this time at the annual shareholders meeting.

Journey of Water
At the meeting, we got to hear all about Disney’s plans for the future — whether that be across the parks or within the film studios. One movie that we were looking forward to learning more about is Moana 2, which Disney recently shared would be in theaters THIS November!

It’s gonna be a rainy day in Disney World!
All over the Southeast, rainy weather and storms are brewing. This is typical for springtime, but doesn’t mean you should be any less prepared. Tornadoes and other severe storm systems have hit southern states this week, and now, some bad weather is coming to Florida. Disney World is likely to be affected, so here’s what you need to know.

We’ve all been there. We’ve probably all been on an airplane seated next to someone who decided to take their shoes off mid-flight, someone who has a stinky snack like beef jerky or Funyuns, or someone who forgot a step in their morning routine (the crucial deo step). Recently, a United Airlines flight had to TURN AROUND because of the smell from an overflowing toilet. Well, did you know that airlines actually have RULES on smelly, stinky stuff? Yes! And part of this rule might surprise you. Let’s talk about it!

Welcome to Disney World!
For many of us, driving is a no-brainer, especially if you’re from a state that borders Florida. However, depending on where you’re from, driving can be just as expensive as flying — but take WAY more time. If you’re in the group of folks that prefers to drive to Disney World, we just got an update on gas prices that you’ll want to hear.
Although spring technically just began, we’ve been celebrating the arrival of the season since February with EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival.
Farmer’s Feast Booth (2023)
We tried every. single. one. of the food booths, checked out all the merchandise, and we even won a PRIZE for snacking around the park. However, there’s way more to come. You see, some of the booths have rotational menus. One of those booths is Farmer’s Feast, located toward the front of the park. From February 28th through March 3oth, you could snag the booth’s Early Bloom Menu, which is what we tried on the first day of the festival. The items we tried were the Veal Tenderloin, Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake, Grilled Street Corn on the Cob, Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail, and the Frozen Lemon Tea Cocktail. The booth was okay — everything was fine except for the veal. The veal was not the greatest. However, now that April is here, Farmer’s Feast is donning a NEW menu from now until April 27th.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Disney World has a TON of hotels to choose from, pretty much at every price point: value, moderate, and deluxe. The hotels are located ALL over the resort, plus some have access to transportation options like the Skyliner and Monorail. Well, we’ve told you which hotels are our favorites (you can check them out here!), so now I’m going to tell you about the ones I won’t go back to.
