Thus far, a State of Emergency has been issued for Florida, a hurricane watch is in effect for the counties within which Disney World is located, flood advisories and tropical storm watches are also in place, and Disney World has announced some multi-day park closures. We’ve already shared a look at what Disney is doing to prepare, how cancelation policies for dining reservations have changed temporarily, and what areas of Disney World will be closed. But now the situation is changing a bit for the counties within which Disney World is located.

The Festival will kick off on November 25th and will offer special entertainment, unique treats, and much more. One of the special things that is often offered at the Festival is the Holiday Cookie Stroll — a food crawl of sorts that rewards you with a special prize. And now we have confirmation on just what cookies will be included in 2022!
BREAKING NEWS: Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and more local theme parks have announced multi-day closures ahead of Hurricane Ian. Airports in the Orlando area are closing as well. Disney World will close its theme parks and water parks on Wednesday, September 28th, and Thursday, September 29th. Disney Springs will be closed on Wednesday, September 28th. They expect Disney Springs will also be closed on Thursday, September 29th, but more updates on that will be coming soon.
BIG UPDATE: Disney World will officially begin a phased reopening on Friday, September 30th.Â
