Since it was announced that the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel was closing this year, the final voyages sold out quickly. If you were not able to snag a reservation, now is your chance!
Halloween is just around the corner, but in some Disney parks, it has already started.
Halloween is coming!
In Disney World, Halloween has begun with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicking off on August 11th. The Emporium is filled with Halloween merch and Main Street is decorated with pumpkins. While Halloween has not yet hit Disneyland just yet, there is a lot to look forward to on the west coast.
Downtown Disney in Disneyland is going through a lot of changes.

The West Side is being expanded with more restaurants coming soon.  We’ve already tried the new beignets at the revamped Beignet Express, and we can’t wait to check out not one, not two, but FOUR new restaurants coming soon. We’ve also been to try the NEW Clyde’s Hot Chicken and to sample the updated menu at Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio (which used to be Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen before it was remodeled.) As a part of the new updates, a new reimagined spot has just opened.
If you don’t plan it right, this hiccup could ruin your Disney day.
Disneyland Resort
We all have our favorite Disney rides. Some of us love the thrill rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout while some love classic rides like Mad Tea Party for nostalgia. But ride closures happen and are necessary. In Disney World, we recently saw a multiday closure of The Haunted Mansion. Now, there’s a very popular ride in Disneyland closing for an extended time.
So you’re planning on going to EPCOT and drinking around the world? There are some things you need to AVOID doing, then.

We’re checking out all the entertainment there is to offer, including trick-or-treating. We’re looking forward to seeing some of our favorite villains. If you’re already in the Halloween spirit, follow along with us. This party is one of the rare times both adults and older kids can dress up in costumes in the park, so we’ve been looking forward to the awesome costumes we’d see this year, and we have not been disappointed!
If you’re visiting Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom, you’ll find lots of snacks and sweet treats around the park that only come out for the after-hours event.

It’s the first night of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
We’re here!
We already got our trick-or-treat bags and scoped out all the exclusive party merchandise. The crowds aren’t scaring us away and we’re ready for a great night. We love that this party is an excuse to dress up in your favorite Disney Halloween costumes and there’s one set of costumes we’ve been WAITING to see!
