We’ve been busy munching on new treats in Disney World that appeared for Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day, but now even MORE new eats are coming to the parks and hotels!

Lightning Lanes SOLD OUT FAST for TRON Lightcycle / Run in Disney World

Today (March 20th) is a very important day in Magic Kingdom!

TRON Lightcycle / Run

TRON Lightcycle / Run officially opens on April 4th, but it has a soft opening on March 20th through April 2nd. The new coaster does NOT have a standby line, so in order to ride you’ll need to either get a spot in the virtual queue or purchase an individual Lightning Lane. The Swan and Dolphin, or “Swolphin” if you will

Rosa Mexicano is the newest table service restaurant at Disney World. It’s located at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and it opened on March 19, 2023. This is actually a chain restaurant, and the new spot is the first location in the Orlando area (there are other locations in New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and a few other states). 2 Major Rides Remain CLOSED as a Water Park REOPENS in Disney World

We’ve heard some MAJOR news from Disney this week, including new character meet-and-greets, updates on the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run, and even a Genie+ update from Magic Kingdom.

There’s a lot of new stuff coming soon, but it’s also important to keep an eye on the existing rides and restaurants in the park. Sometimes these attractions have to close temporarily for refurbishments and updates, and those closures might affect your next trip. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you out. Important Genie+ UPDATE Announced for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run is opening in Magic Kingdom SOON (in fact, it’s opening sooner than we thought!), and a new ride means CHANGES in other parts of the park.

The TRON coaster will make use of a virtual queue and will also have an Individual Lightning Lane option if you want to pay to skip the line. Previously, when a new ride has opened in a park, the existing ride that used an Individual Lightning Lane swapped to be part of the normal Disney Genie+. Now, Disney has released an update on what will happen in Magic Kingdom once TRON opens. [Read more…]
