Since Disney World reopened last summer, we’ve seen a LOT of changes. There have been updates on masks, park hours, park hopping, and maybe most relevant to us: dining.
Underrated Castle View
Due to capacity limits and health and safety measures, the way a lot of Disney restaurants function has changed. Quick Service restaurants became almost exclusively available on Mobile Order, and we’ve gotta be real with you…that hasn’t exactly worked out as conveniently as advertised.
Well, friends, we made it: Disneyland is finally OPEN!

As excited as we are to be back in the parks, unfortunately, not every ride is reopening with Disneyland this weekend.

With park reservations almost completely sold out, we were prepared for quite a big crowd of fellow Disney fans today as we made our way around. We’ve had almost a year to experience the Disney World parks with capacity restrictions, social distancing, and other health and safety measures in place, so we were curious how that would translate to Disneyland. And now, we’re taking a look!

We saw wait times continue to drop a little lower this week, likely helped by the weather, and the end of the spring break season. Let’s take a closer look to see which park had the longest wait!
We can now say that one saga was worth the wait in Disney World: the PeopleMover is FINALLY open!!
It has been WAY too long!
After over a year, we finally got to cruise around Tomorrowland today, and oh, how we’ve missed this attraction.
Even though Disney World has been open since last July, there are many things that have yet to make their return to the parks, including certain restaurants (we still miss you, Casey’s Corner) and experiences, like nighttime shows and fireworks.Â
At least we have rides!
We only JUST got park hopping back in January, and we’re still missing things like preshows for certain attractions due to social distancing. One thing that we hear about a LOT from readers is an experience that has been absent since the summer — FastPass+.
Disney has parks and resorts in several spots around the world, and each location has its own unique charm — and merchandise.
ALOHA from Polynesian Village Resort
Recently we’ve seen items from Disney’s Aulani Resort come “visit” Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and it has been fun to see new styles and characters represented. Today, we even spotted a pair of Aulani Minnie Ears we hadn’t seen yet!
Nothing complements a day by the pool like a refreshing drink or cocktail, and luckily at Disney World, there’s no shortage of Pool Bars!
The Drop Off
Today we popped over to the Drop Off Pool Bar over at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which has really stepped up its cocktail game lately, and we were happy to find a new drink on the menu!
You never know what you’ll find on a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, especially if the animals are out and about.

This week in Animal Kingdom we spotted some fun characters, and some interesting souvenirs, but this morning we were party to some very interesting gossip!
So…is the PeopleMover opening or nah?
Rise and Shine, Tomorrowland!
This week, it was announced that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover’s refurbishment of over a year was finally coming to an end this weekend. We spotted updated hours for the attraction on the Disney website, and upon talking to Cast Members, were told that today might be the magical day. So, we were at Magic Kingdom bright and early this morning to scope out the situation for ourselves.
