Character dining is a favorite activity for many Disney World visitors!
We’ve recently seen the princesses return to Cinderella’s Royal Table, and the buffet return to Chef Mickey’s. And now, another Disney World character meal is changing!
Not all Disney World dining experiences are created equally.
Sure, chances are you can find something for just about anyone, but if you’re looking for the ultimate Magic Kingdom dining experience fit for royalty, there’s really only one place that comes to mind. Complete with Disney Princesses and a meal inside Cinderella Castle, come with us to Cinderella’s Royal Table!
Almost three years after Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, things are finally starting to return to some semblance of normal.
We’ve seen more character meet and greets return to the parks. More restaurants are finally reopening. Some buffets are also returning to Disney World restaurants, including one at a very popular character dining experience. So we’re headed over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort to check out the returning buffet at Chef Mickey’s.
Not all Disney World restaurants are created equally.
Trust us, we’ve tried them ALL. From delicious eats to immersive theming, no two restaurants are alike. And some restaurants require you to do some serious planning in advance to secure a coveted reservation — like at Be Our Guest Restaurant. This spot is consistently booked up, but we’re sharing how you can still dine at one of Magic Kingdom’s fanciest restaurants.
Disney World is still not entirely back to its pre-pandemic self, but little by little the place we know and love is returning to its former glory.
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was a popular dining spot for families because of their buffet service and fun character dining. When the parks re-opened in 2020, both of those aspects were removed. Both the characters and buffet have RETURNED, but a major price increase has now hit the restaurant.
Are you ready to dine with princesses in Magic Kingdom once again?!
Cinderella’s Royal Table has featured a modified character dining experience since the parks reopened, but that has officially changed! Disney previously announced that princesses would return to interact with guests at this table-service spot once again, and we’re sharing a look at all the princesses you might be able to meet!
The day has finally arrived — another thing is back to “normal” in Disney World!
Over the past few months/years, we’ve seen many things go back to “normal” throughout Disney World. Fantasmic! has returned, buffets are back at many spots, and various experiences have reopened. But one iconic restaurant had changed significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was still modified for YEARS…until now.
Ever since Disney World reopened in 2020, we’ve been waiting for some offerings in the parks to return to normal.
We’ve seen restaurants slowly reopen and character meals come back, but it has taken quite some time for one restaurant to return to its old operations. The full character meal is FINALLY back at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, but you’ll be paying a bit more to experience it.
Is there any image more iconic in all of Walt Disney World than Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle?
Believe or not, there IS another place in Magic Kingdom that comes pretty darn close. It’s the Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland, and — much like Cinderella Castle — it is home to a uniquely themed dining experience that has become a must-do for many guests visiting Walt Disney World. [Read more…]
It’s been nearly three years since Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, but we’re finally starting to see the parks returning to more normal operations.
When it comes to character dining experiences, we’ve seen the reopening of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT, as well as buffets returning to both Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom and Tusker House Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Next week, two more character dining restaurants will return to their pre-closure experiences.
