The Five Best Table Service Salads at Walt Disney World (According To The Experts!)
Walt Disney World seriously rocks
when it comes to offering a wide variety of dining options, and while we often find ourselves gravitating toward fried delights like classic Chicken Nuggets and carbolicious eats like Sanaa’s Bread Service, we still like to get our veggies in. Occasionally. Okay, really only to justify eating more cupcakes, but I digress.
Still, salads have their place, and we know that a lot of our readers enjoy the freshness and healthfulness of a plate of vegetables even when in a World full indulgent options. So we’ve culled our experience and that of our instagram readers for some great table service and counter service salad options that are satisfying and delicious. Thanks to our readers and followers for sharing their favorites!
Here we offer the Top Five Table Service Salads at Walt Disney World!
Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad — Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We’re starting off with the most renowned salad in all the World: the Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad. This salad is an institution at the original Hollywood Brown Derby in California, and the Disney version of the restaurant has captured the original version of the salad perfectly.
Nerds Cupcake Available for a Limited Time at Disney Sprinkles Cupcakes Locations!
Aside from serving up some seriously sweet treats like Frosting Shots and Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches, Sprinkles Cupcakes is the go-to spot for, well, cupcakes in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and at Downtown Disney at Disneyland.
And one thing we love about Sprinkles is that there is always something new and creative in the cupcake case.
Guest Review: The NEW Tea Experience at Epcot’s Rose & Crown Dining Room!
Today we’re bringing you a guest review from our DFB pal Jennifer Elliott, who attended the new Rose & Crown Tea Experience in Epcot’s World Showcase! This weekend, I had the privilege to attend The Rose & Crown’s brand new Tea Experience. It began promptly at 9:45 am, so make sure to allow plenty of time to walk to the United Kingdom Pavilion.
News: Peanut Butter Brownie is BACK at Animal Kingdom Lodge…Sort Of…
We bid a sad kwaherini to our beloved Peanut Butter Brownie at the Mara at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge this summer, but we’re thrilled to say: it’s back! But things aren’t precisely as they were. The original Peanut Butter Brownie was a dense chocolate brownie completely covered in creamy peanut butter frosting.
Halloween Time Review: Cosmic Chili Pasta at Alien Pizza Planet in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland!
It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland Park, and even the extraterrestrials at Alien Pizza Planet are celebrating! (And, yup: Alien Pizza Planet is still a thing, hanging on even after the end of Pixar Fest!) So how do the Aliens get their ghouls on?
With Cosmic Chili Pasta! (What? Pasta isn’t the first thing you think of for Halloween? Well, we’ll just have to go with it because Aliens.) (Also: carbs.)
Sneak Peek: Mickey’s 90th Spectacular – Airing November 4! (PLUS CHECK OUT THESE EARS!)
November marks 90 years of fun (and “oh boys!”) courtesy of Mickey Mouse — and the Walt Disney Company is celebrating the main mouse with a two-hour prime-time television event on November 4! It is appropriately named Mickey’s 90th Spectacular — and we got a sneak peek when we attended the taping this weekend!
Sneak PREVIEW! Must-Eats (And FRIED FUNFETTI OREOS!) at the 2018 Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic
The 2018 Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic will take place on Friday, October 26, and Saturday, October 27, 2018.
And this event — which will mark its 9th anniversary this year — is one of my absolute annual favorites!
This two-night fall event coincides with the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival and includes The Causeway (which features more than 90 food and beverage stations with dishes from the resort’s 17 restaurants and lounges as well as more than 30 wineries) and four special food areas — Carnival Corner, Beer Garden, Chinatown, and NEW for 2018, The Pig & Poke — along with Educational Seminars.
And this week, we attended a Preview Event to see what’s in store, and let you know what you’ve just GOT to eat on the Causeway this year at the Classic!
Causeway Preview
First up, from Cib’s Smokehouse is roasted and smoked Iberico pork, fennel puree, honey caramelized apple, and buttered turnip.
First Look and Review! Banana Cabana Pool Bar Reopens at Disney World’s Caribbean Beach Resort!
Welcome back to the Banana Cabana!!
This watering hole in Disney World’s Caribbean Beach Resort has been a well-loved bar for many years. Personable bartenders, cold drinks, and close proximity to the Fuentes del Morro pool always made Banana Cabana a welcome and relaxing oasis.
Caribbean Beach Resort, however, began a massive Resort-wide refurbishment (or, in Disney terms, a “reimagineering”!) last year. And Banana Cabana — along with the Resort’s table service and quick service dining options — was closed for a reimagining of its own.
And, as you’ll soon see, it’s received quite the treatment. It’s basically been transformed into an entirely new space!
So we couldn’t be more excited to see — and say “Welcome back!” to — the newly reopened Banana Cabana Pool Bar!
Atmosphere
Banana Cabana was previously located in its own standing area directly next to the resort’s main pool. And while it still resides right next to the pool, it’s now also tucked next to the new Sebastian’s Bistro in Old Port Royale facing Barefoot Bay.
Where To Find COOKIE SHOTS in Disneyland!!!!
Halloween Time
is in full glory at Disneyland Resort, including at the Grand Californian Hotel! We already told you about the treat table in the lobby of the hotel, which is full of cookies and other spoooooooky goodies.
