Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
You may have forgotten to turn your calendar to November this morning, but Disney World sure didn’t because the holidays are HERE!
Disney transformed the parks overnight, installing the iconic GIANT Christmas tree in Magic Kingdom and decking out the rest of Main Street, U.S.A. But, it’s not just the parks that get a jolly makeover for the season — the Disney Resorts are getting in on the action too! We stopped by Disney’s Beach Club Resort this morning to watch the life-sized carousel start to take shape and while we were there we couldn’t resist trying a treat or two…or FOUR.
Star Wars pickles, limited time cocktails, and plenty of treats? Yup, it’s Halloween in Disney World, folks!
As we’re exploring the parks today, we’re thrilled to sip on a Pumpkin Spice Latte and snack on themed goodies to celebrate. But, we aren’t the only ones who are visiting Disney World today, ready to have a blast! So, we’re giving you a look at the crowds we saw for Halloween!
What’s that tall, modern building off in the distance? It’s the Swan Reserve hotel! The new hotel is located next to the Swan and Dolphin Resort near EPCOT, and we can’t WAIT for the grand opening.
During our visit to the Swan and Dolphin hotel for the Food & Wine Classic event, we got to check out the Swan Reserve hotel. While we were visiting the new hotel, we had a STUNNING view we HAD to share! Is this a new favorite firework viewing location? You decide!
The 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is in full swing, and we have already reported on the MUST HAVES for this year’s festival! But what if you have been missing ANOTHER major Disney World food and wine festival all these years and didn’t even realize it?
The Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic is “the other” food and wine festival in the Walt Disney World area, but unlike EPCOT, you’ll only have two nights to enjoy the food, fun, and festivities. It’s also a much more condensed space, so you’ll be able to see it all in one night. Let’s look closer at the other Food and Wine fest ’round these parts!
We learned a little while ago that character meet and greets were returning to Disney World in a modified way.
Since Disney World reopened, you could only see your favorite characters from a distance — though you could still wave “hello” and take pictures. Even at character meals, they usually just walk through the room or greet guests from a distance. Now, there are new character meet and greets (called character “sightings”) in the parks. The first sightings have officially arrived in Disney World, and we’re checking out the experience to see how they’re different than past meet and greets. [Read more…]
At Disney World, there are a lot of “spoken” rules like keeping your hands and feet inside the ride, no flash photography, and following the park dress code!
And we’ve even covered those unwritten tips you don’t find in every guidebook that make a day in Disney World WAY better and easier. However, did you know that Disney World also has unspoken rules too? We’re talking stuff you SHOULDN’T do but isn’t technically breaking Disney’s rules. So, without further ado… here are 8 Unspoken Disney World Rules!
Holiday overlays are one of our favorite parts of the season in Disney World! And, we couldn’t be more excited that the parks will be bringing them back to multiple attractions during the day and for Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours this year!
In the past, we’ve seen holiday overlays at Tomorrowland Speedway, Jungle Cruise (AKA Jingle Cruise), Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, and beyond. While we’ve already seen holiday decorations sweep across the parks, it looks like one of our first attraction overlays is in progress too!
Despite delays from the global pandemic, Disney has still been cranking out new movies lately!
Some went straight to Disney+, like Mulan and Soul, some released in theaters, like Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and others went to both, like Black Widow and Jungle Cruise. There are even more exciting Disney movies ahead, and today, Pixar released a first look at the origin story of one of our favorite toys!
