We recently told you that the fan-favorite nighttime spectacular World of Color ONE would be closing temporarily at Disney California Adventure.

It’s one thing when a ride closes — you’re sad that you missed it, but there are plenty more to fill the time during your trip. But when a nighttime spectacular is not available, there’s not much to replace it, and it can feel like that something special is missing at the end of your day. We had a feeling that several Disney rides would be closing in 2024.

While a few attractions could be closing forever this coming year, several are just temporarily shutting down for refurbishments. Disney will do this every now and then to maintain the rides and ensure they continue to work properly. Some rides notoriously close around the same time each year, while others close more spontaneously. Since January is just right around the corner, we thought we would share with you which rides you can expect to be closing in the coming month!

As it is right now, if you’re staying at any Disneyland Resort hotel, you can enter the parks a full 30 minutes before their official opening time, which means getting on those popular rides before the rest of the crowds.
