The holiday season brings some of the biggest crowds to Disneyland Resort.
It’s holiday season!
There’s so much going on, after all. There’s the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays. There are the holiday decorations. There are all the holiday snacks. Previously, when the parks got too full — which happened often this time of year — Disneyland would close the gates. Things now, though, are a lot different and those gates are expected to remain open every day.
As 2022 draws to a close, we start looking forward to 2023, especially the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.
What’s cookin’, Goofy?
We’ve enjoyed this festival in the past (we mean — food AND wine, what’s not to love?), and we can’t wait to see what the 2023 festival brings. We already know the dates for the festival, we’ve got a list of the food booths, and now we have information about the 2023 Sip and Savor Pass.
We’re heading into 2023 at Disneyland Resort, and there’s lots of excitement to come!
Disney California Adventure
Soon, we’ll have Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway open, Mickey’s Toontown back, and the start of the 100th Anniversary of The Walt Disney Company to celebrate. There’s a lot scheduled for the west coast in the new year, but one of the first things we have to check out is the Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure!
If you’re interested in some delicious cuisine, don’t turn your nose up at the Disney parks!

While you may not associate theme parks with yummy food, both Disney World and Disneyland Resort are known for having some pretty spectacular restaurants and yummy snacks. In fact, both EPCOT and Disney California Adventure have food festivals throughout the year…and now we’ve got more details about one that’s coming soon!
If you’re planning to visit Disneyland or Disney World soon, there’s a big issue you need to be aware of.

Skipping the lines for the most popular rides in the parks is possible, and one of the main ways to do that is through Genie+ — the paid FastPass replacement. The standard Genie+ service (which starts at $25 per ticket per day in Disneyland) can help you get on rides like Indiana Jones Adventure, Space Mountain, Incredicoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania!, and more with shorter waits. But if you don’t buy the service early in the day, you might not get the chance to!
If you’re a Disneyland Magic Key Holder, you are probably already taking advantage of some of the perks that come with membership.

You can get exclusive merchandise, access to an exclusive lounge for food and drinks, special treats, and more. However, going into 2023, that Magic Key will soon get you even MORE, and we’ve got all the details!

We’re in the weird space in between holidays now, where Christmas has ended but we’ve got a few days until New Year’s. While you might have been to the parks before, you should check back for updates closer to your trip because rules and regulations can change. Recently, we saw Disney World add an important WARNING to their website, advising guests that they could be kicked out for failure to follow a specific rule. Now, it seems Disneyland’s website has been updated with a similar notice.

Disney’s holiday parties like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (in Disney World) can give you the chance to enjoy special entertainment, food, and more in the park once others have left for the day. But there are other more EXCLUSIVE after-hours events, like those for Disney Vacation Club members. Moonlight Magic is one of those events.
