It’s almost Christmas, and we have a BIG update about what’s new at Disneyland Resort!
There’s a LOT to cover today, so let’s jump right in!
The holidays have arrived in Disneyland!
We’ve eaten all kinds of snacks at the Festival of Holidays, shared details about the “it’s a small world” holiday edition, and even attended their new Merriest Nites holiday after hours events. But today we got to experience a truly time-honored tradition at Disneyland — the iconic (and giant) hand-crafted candy canes!
Sometimes, Disney goes a little bit wild with their ears!
Whether they’re designed by the Rock, worth $1000 and made with real gold, or the same color as our grandmother’s couch, Disney has made some choice decisions with their iconic ears in the past, ranging from absolutely cool to downright confusing. Today, we’ve got a new set of ears that are the absolute definition of doing the most!
Although Disneyland Resort is the Happiest Place on Earth, sometimes things happen.
We’ve seen issues with the launch of Disney Genie+Â and there was flooding that caused “it’s a small world” holiday to open later than originally scheduled. Today, we saw an issue arise at one of our favorite snack spots!
Disney has several different programs aimed at environmental sustainability, including massive solar panels in Disney World, the elimination of single-use plastic straws, and biodiesel fuel made from recycled cooking oil that is used on some attractions.
If you’ve ever been to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you might have noticed the company advocating for several different environmental causes there. Some of the attractions work towards raising awareness (such as the Feathered Friends in Flight show), and you can donate to certain conservation funds while you’re in the park. Now, there’s a NEW energy-saving project coming to Anaheim that could impact your Disneyland trip. [Read more…]
Earlier this year, Disneyland discontinued its regular Annual Pass program and later introduced its new annual pass program — Magic Key.
The different types of Magic Key passes come with their own perks and benefits regarding things like blockout dates, etc. But Magic Key holders must also abide by Disneyland’s current theme park reservation requirement. At the moment, all guests planning to visit the parks, including Magic Key holders, must have a park reservation for the park/day they want to visit. Sometimes park reservations can fill up for select guests. Now, a Magic Key holder has filed a lawsuit against Disney Parks and Resorts regarding Magic Key passes and park reservations.
Disneyland Resort introduced a new annual passholder program this year called Magic Key.
There are new names for the passes, new blockout dates, and new prices. And, both the Dream Key and the Believe Key are sold out. The Enchant Key is still available, and the Imagine Key may still be available, but it’s only available for Southern Californian residents. When the program was announced, Disney also said they would be hosting a Magic Key Holder Celebration Month, but didn’t say when the festivities would be happening. But, we just found out when Magic Key holders can expect to be celebrated!
Next year will bring the return of many things and the start of several new things in the Disney parks.
We’ve already shared news about several different entertainment options that will be coming back to Disneyland in 2022, how select California Residents can save on tickets in 2022 to the Happiest Place on Earth, and more updates. But, now we’ve got news about another thing that will be returning to the parks and a NEW offering that will be available in 2022!
We can’t believe it either, but 2022 is almost here!
We’ve already seen discounts and deals announced for next year, 2022 merchandise released, and details shared about special things that will be returning to Disneyland (and other Disney theme parks) in 2022. But now we’ve got another update you need to know about if you’re planning on visiting the Happiest Place on Earth in 2022.
Well, it’s official: Disney Genie has arrived in Disneyland Resort! Although the launch of Genie at Disneyland wasn’t without its hiccups, the service is now available for guests to use.
Today we’ve got some interesting news for you about the new planning and ride reservation service. If you used Genie+ at Disneyland recently, you might qualify for “recovery.”
