News: Changes Coming to Disneyland’s River Belle Terrace and Rancho del Zocalo

February of 2016 will bring BIG changes to two beloved Disneyland dining locations.

First, Frontierland’s River Belle Terrace will change from its current status as a Counter Service location to a Table Service option serving lunch and dinner only as of February 10, 2016.

The menu will focus on “Southern barbecue staples” such as ribs and chicken as well as sustainable seafood offerings. Of course, this change means that River Belle Terrace will soon be accepting reservations (the date guests will be able to start booking has yet to be announced). [Read more…]

Dining in Disneyland Review: Star Wars Season of the Force Menu Hits Galactic Grill

Great news, Star Wars fans!

Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland has recently transformed to celebrate the Star Wars Season of the Force debut at Disneyland.

The resort is currently celebrating all things Star Wars, and along with that celebration comes the grand opening of the Galactic Grill.  Last week I was invited to the restaurant’s first service to try out some of the new offerings.

Located in the heart of Tomorrowland, this counter service restaurant is serving up Star Wars themed menu items with clever names and some clever ingredients, too! The menu offers both “Dark Side” and “Light Side” foods.  You have to choose which side you’re up to trying!

Dining in Disneyland: Fun Halloween Time Candy Bags!

Halloween time is HERE! Themed treats and merchandise have already started to appear at the Disneyland Resort.  On a recent visit I spotted these perfectly packaged Seasonal Candy Bags at Disney California Adventure.

The artwork & packaging on these really caught my eye!  There are four different bag designs, each one containing a different type of candy.  The candies themselves are not new, but the packaging “make over” from previous years is going to have them flying off the shelves.  It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think I like Donald’s “Terror in Tomorrowland” artwork best. Dining in Disneyland: Seasonal Eats at Hungry Bear Restaurant

The Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country is what I’d consider a hidden gem of Disneyland.  The counter service restaurant is nestled way in the back of the park along the Rivers of America.  The lines are never too terrible, there’s plenty of seating, and more importantly the food is quite wonderful!
