Halloween is right around the corner!
Tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash sold out months in advance, but if you got your ticket, be prepared to try all the snacks and see lots of characters. If you’re celebrating the occasion during normal Disneyland operating hours instead, there’s still plenty to check out. And if you’re a Magic Key Holder, there are a few special Haunted Mansion PhotoPass lenses available just for you!
We’ve had a LOT of big news coming out of Disneyland this week!
Ticket prices — along with other prices — have gone up. We’ve got a date for when MagicBand+ is coming to Disneyland. We got a full list of food booths for the upcoming Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure. But what else has been going on? Let’s take a look!

MagicBand+ debuted in Disney World earlier this year, and we were stoked to check out all the features of this new wearable tech.

MagicBand+ is being released at Disneyland Resort SOON and we’re sharing everything you need to know!
A Disneyland vacation just got more expensive in more ways than one. We saw some major ticket price increases, and Genie+ now costs $5 more than it used to. Unfortunately, that’s not where the price increases end.
Earlier, we noticed that the Savi’s Workshop lightsaber building experience and the Droid Depot got more expensive at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Now, those same price increases have hit Disneyland as well. [Read more…]
There’s no denying it — Disney is EXPENSIVE!
Between booking your hotel stay, choosing where to eat on your trip, and oh yeah — park tickets — there are so many little things that can really add up. And it certainly doesn’t help when Disney decides to raise prices, either. Unfortunately, it looks like today is one of those days because going to Disneyland Resort is now going to cost you MORE!
Disney World and Disneyland prices can vary depending on the time of year and demand for the theme parks. We’ve seen surge pricing on tickets, hotel rooms, holiday parties, and more. Now, it looks like surge pricing is coming to another part of Disneyland.
Disney Genie+ is the add-on feature that allows you to skip the line at 19 attractions in Disneyland Resort. You could previously purchase Genie+ for $20 per person, per day, but it just got a pretty big price increase. However, updated language on Disneyland’s website shows that this feature could get even MORE expensive. [Read more…]
Disney Genie+ debuted last year at Disneyland Resort, replacing the former MaxPass system.
Genie+ is a paid feature that lets you make reservations for Lightning Lanes in the parks. These work similarly to how the old MaxPass lanes did, letting you skip the normal line at rides around the parks. We’ve seen many changes to the system since it debuted, but now, Genie+ just got a price increase in Disneyland.
A LOT of exciting things are coming to Disneyland Resort!

We also learned a LOT about the Walt Disney Company’s plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary AT Disneyland, including a new look for Sleeping Beauty Castle. In the meantime, we’ve got more updates to share with you from the West Coast!
