No, we’re not talking about riding Haunted Mansion there (although Haunted Mansion Holiday will be here before we know it). We’re not even talking about grabbing that Haunted Mansion candle. No, there’s a NEW piece of Haunted Mansion merchandise you’ll want — and it’s a new pair of EARS!
You may not know that the way Disneyland Resort operates is different from how Disney World works!

Unlike Disney World, which has historically had its own county government in the form of the Reedy Creek Improvement District (which is complicated right now), Disneyland Resort is located in the City of Anaheim in California and subject to the city’s government, which prevents them from having the ability to self-govern. Now a new tax ordinance is being proposed by the city and it could impact Disneyland ticket prices in the future.
Things are CHANGING at Disneyland in a big way.
Main Street Electrical Parade
We’ve seen the return of Fantasmic!, World of Color, the Main Street Electrical Parade, and more at the Happiest Place on Earth, but soon some of these offerings will NOT be available for fans to enjoy.

We’ve known for a while that Splash Mountain in Disneyland and Magic Kingdom is set to be rethemed to a Princess and the Frog attraction, but a few days ago, Disney finally revealed the name and opening timeline for the rethemed attraction. We’ll be gearing up to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in late 2024, but now, we’ve got more information about one specific detail of the ride…Princess Tiana herself!

We recently saw new Haunted Mansion merchandise released, and we know a Haunted Mansion LEGO Set is on its way. And over in Disneyland, we’ve seen Haunted Mansion turn into Haunted Mansion Holiday for the Halloween season. That transformation will once again take place this year. But, in order for the change to occur, the ride has to close for a bit, and we’ve just gotten those closure dates!

Disney previously announced that Splash Mountain at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World would be rethemed to be a The Princess and the Frog-themed ride, and now we’ve got some BIG updates on this reimagined attraction.

We’ve already seen some concept art, and heard a bit about the characters coming to the rethemed ride, and we got a potential opening date from the voice behind Tiana. Disney also shared that more details about the retheme would be released during ESSENCE Fest, a special festival taking place in New Orleans. We were able to attend ESSENCE Fest and now we’ve got some huge news to share!
