Disney shared a while back that the iconic Din Tai Fung restaurant — famous for its soup dumplings — would be opening in the Anaheim shopping and dining district sometime this year, and now that time has officially come! Din Tai Fung is now open at Downtown Disney and we’re bringing you along for our first look!
Downtown Disney in Anaheim recently added three new restaurants — but they’re still not stopping!

A while back, we learned that the iconic Din Tai Fung restaurant — famous for its soup dumplings — would be opening in this shopping and dining district sometime this year, we just didn’t know when. Disney had shared an opening timeline, but now it’s official and we know when you’ll be able to try those delicious dumps!Â
The year has been flying by and we’ll be approaching the Halloween season in just a few months!

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is one of the best times to visit The Happiest Place on Earth! This season at Disneyland features Halloween decorations, themed merch, special food offerings, ride holiday overlays, the incredibly fun Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure, and more! If you’re like us and ready to hear all about this year’s festivities, you’re in luck — Disney just announced a bunch of stuff coming to this year’s Halloween Time at Disneyland!

We simply can’t get enough beignets so when we heard a new one was available at the Disneyland Resort, we couldn’t help but rush over to try it!

New Downtown Disney Entrance
We’ve been checking out all the new eats that have landed in this shopping and dining district lately, and are now thrilled to share that you can book reservations for you and your travel party at TWO of the newly opened restaurants!
Expansion is on the horizon at the Disneyland Resort, but that doesn’t mean you’ll need to wait years to start seeing some changes!
Downtown Disney
Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will see some MAJOR changes over the next decade and we’ll be there every step of the way! With that said, the changes happening aren’t just limited to the theme parks. Downtown Disney District, Disneyland’s non-theme park dining and shopping district, will also look different — starting NOW!
Disneyland recently got not just one, but THREE new restaurants, all with menus by Michelin-starred chef Carlos Gaytán.

So we were very excited when we got to try out these new dining spots in Downtown Disney. We are so happy to be able to get street tacos at Tiendita, we went NUTS over our meal at Paseo, and we found one of our favorite burgers at Centrico. Well, we’ve got some big news about one of those locations, and we’re sharing that news with you.Â
A LOT of changes are happening in Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort.
Downtown Disney
Recently, three new restaurants opened in Downtown Disney (THREE!!!). The Parkside Market, which will feature even more food, is coming soon. Din Tai Fung will be moving in soon. Tortilla Jo’s closed, but something else is coming there soon. Now, one of the most popular shops in Downtown Disney has closed for a huge makeover.
Downtown Disney has been getting quite a bit of an overhaul, including getting MANY new restaurants (oh, yeah, you know we’re excited).
Paseo
Most recently, three of those new restaurants opened: Paseo, Centrico, and Tiendita, with all three restaurants having menus created by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. Okay, so that has us even MORE stoked. Well, we’ve had a chance to eat at Centrico and Tiendita, but we’re now getting a chance to dine at Paseo.
