Sometimes, you just need a lil’ taste of Disneyland, even while the theme parks are still closed. Luckily, we can always head on over to Downtown Disney, the Disneyland Resort’s shopping and dining district.
So, what’s new at Downtown Disney?!
Earlier this year, it was announced that Splash Mountain in both Disney World and Disneyland would be re-themed to a Princess and the Frog attraction.
Since that announcement, we’ve seen Splash Mountain merchandise flying off the shelves in Disney World (although some was recently restocked). Now, it seems some references to Splash Mountain have disappeared over at Disneyland.
There’s something about Disney Halloween merchandise that just warms our hearts!
Today, we made our way to Downtown Disney in Disneyland to see what spellbinding merchandise we could find. And we definitely weren’t disappointed!
We may not be able to get past those gates and onto the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland Park right now, but…
…a new shopping event at Downtown Disney will soon let guests get all kinds of speciality merchandise celebrating Disneyland 65th Anniversary!
UPDATE: Ralph Brennan’s no longer offers Mobile Order.
We have great news for Downtown Disney guests looking to enjoy some beignets, gumbo, and jambalaya!
The Downtown Disney district at Disneyland Resort began a phased reopening on July 9th. Since then, additional locations have also started to welcome back guests — including Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen and its quick service counterpart Jazz Kitchen Express which reopened on August 12th.
Downtown Disney District began a phased reopening last month, but plans to reopen the rest of Disneyland Resort have been delayed.
One week ago, Disneyland began asking guests with reservations through September 5th to modify or cancel their bookings. plans. Now Disney has just contacted more guests with bookings through September 12th to do the same.
While Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are still closed and Disneyland’s hotels have asked guests through September 5th to reschedule, Downtown Disney, the Disneyland Resort’s shopping and dining district, is OPEN for guests!
We took a little stroll through Downtown Disney to do a little shopping (duh!) and to see what’s new! Come along with us!
Walt Disney World has implemented many health and safety procedures due to the global health crisis.
And along with the new procedures, numerous hand sanitizer stations were installed throughout Disney World property.
However, even with the increased cleaning and added sanitizer stations, we still found ourselves reaching for our own bottle of hand sani throughout the day! We’ve been all over Disney World since the July 2020 reopening and discovered there are a few reasons why you might consider bringing your own sanitizer into the parks!Â
The new Oogie Boogie dress we found at the Downtown Disney District yesterday really put us in a SPIN!
Our minds were totally reeling when we saw its skirt — complete with the Gamblin’ man himself and a cute roulette wheel!
Warning! If you don’t already have a collection of adorable little Wishables, you may feel compelled to buy some after you see what we found!
We’ve seen Toy Story Mania Wishables, Country Bear Jamboree Wishables, and so much more! Could they get any cuter? Yes, yes they can!
