Dining in Disneyland: Downtown Disney’s UVA Bar is Back!

After a short renovation, Downtown Disney’s centrally located UVA Bar, an extension of Catal, is back in biz with a fresh new look.

They were closed when I walked by, but I just had to snap a few photos for sharing! I love the bright colors and new seating. Can’t wait to try some of the new menu items as well.

First Look! The Cheshire Cat Caramel Apple in Disneyland

Strolling through Downtown Disney this morning, Marceline’s was closed. BUT, there were some talented candy makers in the kitchen making something brand spanking new: The Cheshire Cat caramel apple.

The apples, inspired by the new Mad T Party at Disney California Adventure, are $9.99 and will be available at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney, Candy Palace on Main Street, and Pooh Corner in Critter Country. I was also told that they will “most likely” be at Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street when it opens on the 15th of June!

First Look! New Princess Cookies

Just last week some new Disney Princess cookies were introduced at the Disneyland Resort. I spotted them at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney. Not only did I conduct a little princess photo shoot on the spot, but I also took Ariel home with me for a taste test!

The generously sized cookies are all “Honey Vanilla” in flavor. They’re available in 4 different designs and will set you back just under $5.00.

Disneyland Dining Reservations Via Email Now Available

Great news for us Disneyland food fans! Restaurant reservations can now be booked via email! Remember, reservations in Disneyland can be booked 60 days in advance.

Say Hello to Tigger at Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza in Disneyland!

Here’s how it works:

Guests may now email their dining reservation requests to [email protected]
Requests will be reviewed the same day, when received during the hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., 7 days a week
Requests received after hours will be reviewed the next day
Guests may request Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Studio Disney 365 reservations through this email address as well
Email requests should include the following information:
1. Name of the restaurant or experience you’d like to book
2. Requested reservation date and meal period (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
3. Total number of guests in your party
4. Your name and phone number
Remember: Your request is not confirmed until you’ve received a confirmation number

Disneyland’s La Brea Bakery Café Introducing New Menu Items in Late May

Classic favorites and new menu items will be unveiled when La Brea Bakery Café’s expansion is complete, according to DisneyParkBlog.

Located in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney (Anaheim), La Brea Bakery will re-open in late May showcasing an exhibition kitchen, a dining room with welcoming earth tones, an express area with fresh food displays, and outdoor seating covered with an awning.

Everyone knows this is the place to pick up some morning eats before heading into the parks, and fans of breakfast fare will love the new entrees: order Brioche French Toast or a Croque Madame Sandwich (made with gruyere cheese and featuring a fried egg on top)! See photos below! [Read more…]

First Look! New Gelato Popsicle Stand in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney

Strolling though Downtown Disney on Easter afternoon I noticed something that was not there just a week before: a new “Gelato Pop” stand! I had just eaten a giant brunch at Steakhouse 55, so a taste test was not an option; but I did get the “scoop” on this fun new treat stop.

Thank goodness for a warm Spring Break in So Cal, because after being open for a mere three days, the Gelato Popsicle stand seems to be a hit. The Cast Member I spoke with said that they were doing pretty well on their first three days and they hope to become a permanent fixture in the Downtown Disney district.

The Gelato Pop stand offers 9 different types of Gelato popsicles (pre-made offsite):

Celebrate St. Patrick’s day at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District!

Start out by toasting your friends with Green Beer at this fun New Orleans-themed restaurant! You can get your tinted beer for $6.00/Small and $8.00 for a Large. And if you’re not seeing leprechauns yet, green Jello shots will be offered all day. 😉

Executive Chef Darrin’s Corn beef and cabbage will be a menu highlight. Follow it up with an Irish coffee, and don’t forget to indulge in Ralph Brennan’s famous beignets!
