Disney World rides seem to be shutting down for refurbishment left and right.
We want to make sure you are prepared for your upcoming vacation, so here’s a look at what attractions will be closed in December 2024.
We’re getting some big additions in EPCOT next year!
Test Track will reopen with an entire new theme and look, and a brand-new lounge is coming to Spaceship Earth. We can’t wait to check out that new dining space, but as Disney fans, our team has some demands about what we’d like to see included!
Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with several perks.
Annual Passholders receive exclusive discounts on dining and shopping, along with free souvenirs throughout the year, such as magnets. It’s lots of fun to be a Disney World Annual Passholder, so you can take advantage of these perks! Since we’re nearing the holidays, Disney has added two new fun souvenirs that you can grab soon, so don’t miss out on these exclusive items.
We’ve got an important update for you about one of our favorite EPCOT festivals!
Visiting EPCOT’s seasonal festivals during your trip to Disney World could be the highlight of your vacation. When Disney announced the dates of the upcoming Festival of the Arts for 2025, we didn’t get too many details about its entertainment offerings beyond that. However, it seems Disney is finally ready to share more exciting news about one of its popular festival offerings.
We’re big fans of the Disney World transportation system!
The free offerings are great for guests trying to get around the resort. Each option has several perks, but there are downsides to each as well. One of our favorite modes of transportation around Disney World is the Skyliner. It’s practically a ride on its own before even getting into the parks! It’s typically efficient and offers direct access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, there are two downsides to it as well.
Disney World is going through A LOT of change.
New lands are getting added to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, while other new attractions are replacing current ones in all four parks. Disney is busy bringing new ideas to the parks. One new ride coming to Disney World is a brand-new take on the classic EPCOT ride, Test Track. Reimagined Test Track (or Test Track 3.0) is opening in 2025, and we’re breaking down the concept art Disney has shared to find some clues about what we can expect.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a fun-filled 4D ride in EPCOT.
The ride is in the France pavilion. As you enter the queue, you get “shrunk” down to rat size. You eventually board the ride on cars shaped like rats like Remy and his family and begin your adventure through Gusto’s restaurant. When we say an adventure, we really mean it! You go for a wild ride dodging carts, mean chefs, and very hot ovens. The ride is a wonderful work of imagineering that involves almost all of your senses. Now, three years after it opened in EPCOT, we’ve noticed a couple of changes!
It’s been a great week in Disney World, especially when it comes to food.
Mostly, we’re just excited that we finally got the menus for the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, which starts on November 29th — and yes, we’ll be running around EPCOT all day eating EVERYTHING. We also tried some new menu items at Sci-Fi Dine In in Hollywood Studios. We also spent some time researching Disney World restaurant menus, and we’ve got some changes to tell you about.
Every week, we report the average Disney World wait times in every park so that you can be prepared for your next trip to Orlando!
Disney World’s wait times seem to be all over the place right now — one day, a popular ride may have a long wait all day long…and the next day the wait time won’t even break an hour. There’s a lot going on at Disney World right now and that means folks are flocking to the parks, but let’s see what that means for wait times.
The holidays are here, and, let’s be real, the International Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT has got to be THE definition of all that holiday magic wrapped up in one sweet, glittering bow!
I mean, with all the Christmas trees, holiday decor, festival booths, not to mention the World Showcase pavilions themselves, it’s the best kind of holiday overload (and we’re not complaining). But you know what? It’s not ALL sugar and spice. No, there are some “unfortunate” side effects of attending the Festival of the Holidays, and we’ve gotta talk about them!
