Disney’s newest After Hours BOO Bash event officially starts today, August 10th, in the Magic Kingdom! This 3-hour Halloween event replaced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and is serving up special treats and candy, and introducing some rare characters! Goodbye Dapper Dans, hello Cadaver Dans!

Magic Kingdom has been very busy preparing for the Halloween season with snacks, decorations, and new merchandise. But, fall celebrations aren’t the only thing going on — today we’re sharing everything new from our visits to the park in the past few days!

We’re eating our way through lots of Halloween treats, we’ve taken a peek at some of the new Halloween merchandise (including new ears), and tonight we’ll be checking out Disney’s first After Hours Boo Bash! During Boo Bash, you’ll get to enjoy a number of attractions around Magic Kingdom with the benefit of limited capacity. But, just what rides will you get to hop on? We’ve got the full list here!
We have been VERY busy with all the restaurant reopenings at Disney World — and we have no complaints.
Columbia Harbour House has reopened!
Like we even need an excuse to be reunited with some of our favorite food and drinks! And that’s just what we have been at spots like ‘Ohana, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, Pizzafari, Eight Spoon Cafe, and more! Columbia Harbour House has been closed since the park closure last year. However, some of its menu ended up at the usually seasonal Tomorrowland Terrace. But Columbia Harbour House is now back, with much of its menu intact, so we decided to see how it compared to the last time we ate there.
Yesterday, we shared a full look at all of the Halloween treats coming to Disney World soon, and we’ve already been making our way through some of them today!

A number of spooktacular treats are set to be released in Magic Kingdom starting today, only 2 of which were listed as items that would be exclusive to Disney After Hours Boo Bash. But, as we made our way around Magic Kingdom today to get those other treats that were not listed as Boo Bash exclusives, we encountered a bit of a problem.
Sometimes the rides in Disney World can be unpredictable.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Closed
It makes sense when rides close down for storms or scheduled maintenance, but it’s puzzling when rides go down and there’s no explanation! There are some rides this happens to more than others and a few of those rides are closed right now at Magic Kingdom!
