All sorts of updates are taking place across Disney World right now to ensure everything looks bright and shiny for the 50th Anniversary.
Some Main Street staples are closed for refurbishment right now, a ride just reopened following maintenance, and we’re still waiting on the PeopleMover to welcome guests once again. Well, now, another Magic Kingdom staple has received an update!

Just a few days ago, we spotted some brand NEW pastel rainbow ears in the Downtown Disney District in Disneyland Resort.

As Walt Disney World prepares for its 50th anniversary celebration, we’ve seen all kinds of work being done around Magic Kingdom. But on Main Street, U.S.A., some spring cleaning is taking place, too! Main Street Confectionery just closed for a months-long refurbishment — and now, another shop has closed, too.
We’re a little over six months away from the beginning of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations, and we’ve been seeing quite a few attractions close for refurbishment leading up to the festivities.
Over at Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle has been getting some TLC with a new paint job, some fixes to the stage area, and even some new decorations. We’ve also seen a few rides undergo maintenance such as Mad Tea Party and Peter Pan’s Flight. And, the next item on Disney’s punch list is here and it involves the temporary closure of one of the sweetest shops in the park.
