News: Main Street Electrical Parade Lunch Package Coming to Tony’s Town Square at Magic Kingdom

You know that I’m a total sucker for Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The history, the lovely ambiance, and the normally-better-than-average food all means that I usually have a really great experience at this Main Street USA landmark.

But now, there’s an even better reason to schedule lunch with Tony!

Beginning June 7 (that’s tomorrow! — maybe even TODAY for some of you), you can book the Main Street Electrical Parade viewing package to enjoy lunch at this iconic spot — plus a little something more!

Review: Flavor Boosted Beverages at Magic Kingdom’s Columbia Harbour House

We’re back in Liberty Square for a visit to one of our readers’ favorite quick service spots — Columbia Harbour House!

But we’re not back for the tried-and-true items that make this spot a top choice — dishes like the Anchors Aweigh and Lighthouse Sandwiches, Vegetarian Chili, and the beloved Lobster Roll.

In fact, we’re actually here for something you can find pretty much everywhere in Disney World: fountain beverages. Oh, and tea and Slushes.

But Columbia Harbour House is the first counter service location in a park we’ve seen to introduce the chance to spruce up your regular ol’ soda pop with an extra flavor boost. You can add a Monin Premium Flavored Syrup to your drink or slush of choice to the tune of 50 pennies.

The six flavor choices include Blackberry, Mango, Passion Fruit, Peach, Watermelon, and Wildberry for your Slush, iced or hot tea, or fountain drink.

News: Magic Kingdom’s Skipper Canteen Now Accepting Full Advance Dining Reservations

Since its very first day, things have functioned differently at Magic Kingdom’s newest eatery based on the classic Jungle Cruise attraction. In its opening weeks, the Skipper Canteen deviated from its counterpart Table Service restaurants by accepting only walk-up guests.

Then this past February, Disney announced that reservations would be accepted for the Skipper Canteen after all — albeit in a unprecedented form. Same-day reservations became available for the spot which previously offered none at all.

But today a third — and presumably final — change has been announced. Like all other Table Service restaurants in Magic Kingdom, the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen is now accepting Advance Dining Reservations for guests hoping to make future plans to dine there.

Advance Dining Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance of your visit via the Walt Disney World website, the My Disney Experience app, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Review: Corn Dog Nugget Meal Now Available at Casey’s Corner in Disney World

With the baseball season recently starting, there is no better place to get into the spirit of the season than Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom!

Casey’s Corner is one of our favorite stops for a quick meal or a snack anytime of the day. And while we love their specialty hotdogs, I’ve always been a huge fan of their Corn Dog Nuggets as well. And I know there are many of you who are fans.

On a recent visit, we noticed a switch-up on the menu that we couldn’t wait to share.

There’s plenty of good news to share here. Both the Chili-Cheese Hot Dog and the Barbecue Slaw Dog are still available. And now, they come in two versions — regular, or foot long!

Of course, you can also still get the Hot Dog Meal, which comes with a plain dog that you can top anyway you’d like from Casey’s Plastic Cheese-less fixings bar. (Yep. It’s still not back. Sigh.)

But what really caught my eye was the new Corn Dog Nugget Meal. Sweet.

News: Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party Takes Over FastPass Viewing Area in the Magic Kingdom

Disney is expanding the elbow room for guests who are attending the Wishes Dessert Party in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The kicker? They’re using the area that, up to now, has been designated for viewing Wishes with a FastPass.

Effective immediately, guests who take advantage of same-day booking for this premium event will move into the Main Street Plaza Gardens when the fireworks begin. Review: Lunch at Tony’s Town Square in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

It’s time to stop at Tony’s Town Square for lunch with a view!

This classic Disney restaurant, located on Main Street USA in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, is a favorite of Disney fans.

While it may not be on the culinary cutting edge, there’s something truly magical about stepping into one of your favorite movie restaurants!

It had been a while since I’d stopped into Tony’s. Frankly, the menu of classic Italian dishes doesn’t really ever change much.

Still, we here at Disney Food Blog believe that we need to bring you the most up to date info on Disney eateries, so you can make those advance dining reservations with confidence.

With that in mind, I decided it was time for another visit.

Atmosphere

With a name like Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, where would you expect it to be located? If you guessed Town Square, then you get a gold star. 🙂

Yep — you’ll find Tony’s pretty much as soon as you walk into Magic Kingdom. Pass the Town Square Theater, where you can meet and greet with some of your favorite Disney characters, and you’ll see Tony’s on the right as you head toward Cinderella Castle.

News: Disney’s Early Morning Magic Event Now Available for Booking

Good Morning, Sunshine!

 A new extra-ticket event has appeared on the Walt Disney World website. Early Morning Magic will give early risers a chance to enter the Magic Kingdom before regular park hours to experience three Fantasyland attractions along with breakfast at Pinocchio Village Haus.

From 7:45 am – 10:00 am on select Tuesdays and Saturdays beginning April 26th (according to the dates currently available for booking on the website), guests will be part of the first people to enter the park and will have access to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Peter Pan’s Flight. The event is currently bookable on DisneyWorld.com through June 2016. [Read more…]
