From tie-dyed everything to tees that are so unbelievably ’90s that we forgot we’re in the 21st century, Disney is REALLY leaning into the retro-inspired merch these days.Â
And Disney World’s run of bright colors and bold prints has no end in sight, except this time, we’re traveling back in time to the 1980s!
When you go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, getting a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance can be a bit of a challenge. But when you DO get one, all that panic refreshing at 10AM or 2PM feels soooo worth it.

This massive Star Wars ride, however, is quite technologically advanced, which means that it breaks down and experiences little glitches from time to time.

We love Disney fireworks shows — there’s just really nothing quite as magical.

Whenever a NEW nighttime spectacular debuts, we’re always pumped to spot the new ways that Disney uses tech in these shows. We’ve been wondering about the addition of drones to Disney shows for a while now. We saw them used in Disney Springs a few years ago. And Universal used them recently as well. Some of the concept art for EPCOT Forever made us think we might see them, but it’s just really cool kites instead.
But don’t fear, Disney IS still working hard on ways to incorporate drones in live shows!
An intergalactic trip to Batuu, otherwise known as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, can be filled with twists and turns. Whether we’re navigating the updated (and then updated once more!) Boarding Group distribution system for Rise of the Resistance or we’re experiencing an eerily empty Oga’s Cantina, Galaxy’s Edge sure knows how to keep us on our toes!
Stormtroopers
One of the ways Disney provides the fully immersive experience in Galaxy’s Edge is through their merchandise. So you could imagine our surprise when we noticed merchandise in a new spot!
Though the Disney water parks remain closed, that hasn’t stopped Disney from working behind the scenes to enhance the experience at a water park!
Typhoon Lagoon
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon both have some awesome tube slides, and the lines can get pretty long. Well, Disney’s new water slide BRAKE technology could mean shorter lines in the long run!

Hollywood Studios has gotten creative with the way they are handling character entertainment since reopening! To keep their distance, characters have been riding around the park in specially themed cars. Strolling down Grand Avenue in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is never quite complete without stopping at BaseLine Tap House.

You’ll find a selection of small plates (we’re fond of the big ol’ Bavarian Pretzel with Beer-Cheese Fondue), and of course you’ll find cocktails, wine, and craft beer on tap. Well, that’s pretty easy — it’s Toy Story’s Forky! We love spotting new Forky merchandise, from the awesome Forky Loungefly Backpack we saw online, to the WILD Forky Hairbrush we found in Disney World. Well, that Forky Loungefly, unfortunately, sold out online, but fortunately we spotted it for sale in Hollywood Studios today!
