The world is experiencing full Olympics fever right now, and we’ve had a lot of exciting news coming out of Paris. Not to mention everyone is LOVING how Snoop Dog and Flavor Flav have become America’s Olympics Dads.
So here’s the thing — with the Olympics being in Paris this year, you might think that means a lot of extra tourist dollars for the city. You might also think that would mean a lot of extra tourist dollars for Disneyland Paris — after all, so many people are traveling to Paris right now; they might want to hang out at Disneyland, right? Well, it turns out that isn’t really the case.
Disney is having attendance issues with its U.S. parks, but the company seems unconcerned.
On August 7th, the Walt Disney Company released its latest earnings report. Disney Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Hugh Johnston appeared on CNBC’s well-known Squawk Box program to discuss the report. During a wide-ranging interview that touched on subjects ranging from streaming to theatrical films to the upcoming sports bundle Venu service, the executive made some interesting comments about the company’s domestic theme park business.
2024 has been an interesting year for the Disney theme parks, with lots of changes made and new experiences opened in recent months. But has it all paid off?
Within recent months, we’ve seen CommuniCore Hall open in EPCOT, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure open in Magic Kingdom, Genie+ transformed into Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and more. On August 7th, Disney held its earnings call (and released its earnings report) for Q3 of fiscal year 2024 and now we can see just how the parks are doing from a financial perspective (and what that might mean for the future of the parks).
Sometimes when you’re hungry and walking around Magic Kingdom you’ve just got to stop for the right snack that speaks to you.
So, although we’ve talked a lot recently about the menu changes at Sleepy Hollow — to our beloved Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich and how we tried to doctor the new Mickey Waffle version, some of the other menu items here needed a little love, too. Seeing our favorite celebrities up close at the Disney Parks can really make a Disney day extra special.
We have reporters at Disney World and Disneyland nonstop so it’s only natural that we see celebrities every once in a while. Unsurprisingly, this is especially true in California’s Disneyland, which isn’t that far from Hollywood. In fact, if you recently visited Disneyland, there’s a chance you might’ve seen a famous actress celebrating her birthday!
Have you ever been to Disney World’s hidden crime village?!
Tucked away in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT is a tiny town filled with trains and turbulence. We’ve often caught its residents in the middle of misdeeds and malarkey. And now, we have to make weekly visits to the village to see what kind of trouble the miniature people are getting into. Let’s go check it out!
Can you believe it? The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is almost here!
EPCOT is hosting this year’s event from August 29th through November 23rd, 2024. There’s going to be so many amazing booths and all kinds of entertainment — We’re so stoked to experience everything! That being said, there is something about the festival this year that’s really ramping up our anxiety to 11, so let’s talk about it!
Disney World is full of divisive topics that we hardly seem to agree on! Even our team seems to be divided over things like which snacks, character meal changes, and which park is the best.
But, Disney fans aren’t always so dysfunctional as there’s a handful of things we ALL seem to agree on!
We’re gearing up for fall in the Disney parks!
There are so many celebrations coming up soon at both Disney World and Disneyland Resort, with Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, and other seasonal offerings. And a big part of all those celebrations is the special treats we get to try! If you’re heading to Disney California Adventure from August 23rd to November 2nd this year, you’ll definitely want to see the FULL list of snacks that was just revealed for Plaza de la Familia!
