Listen, Disney World is more than kiddie rides and merry-go-rounds. There are some pretty epic thrill rides and some action-packed entertainment in the parks. Deadpool even recently made an appearance at Disney California Adventure. DEADPOOL! Point is, there are all kinds of things to do in Disney World beside the classic rides.

Speaking of characters in Disney parks, we have to discuss a big change that just went into effect. Were you ever lucky enough to skip the line for a long character meet-and-greet? Well, you might not get so lucky on your next trip to Disney World, and we think we know why.

But if you ask us, one of the best perks is Extended Evening Hours, which allows folks exclusive time in select parks. Right now, folks can visit EPCOT and Magic Kingdom on select nights, but Disney just announced that Extended Evening Hours are coming back to Animal Kingdom!

Disney California Adventure during Oogie Boogie Bash
Disney’s Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure is one of our favorite Halloween events each year. The Disneyland Resort’s separately ticketed Halloween party is super popular and this year’s party is already sold out for the season. If you were lucky enough to snag tickets, you can expect to see and experience all kinds of exclusives such as live entertainment, special food, limited merch, trick-or-treating opportunities, character meet-and-greets, and more! Rare Disney Villains also like to appear at this party and Disney just teased some new additions that will be featured in this year’s Halloween celebration!
Disney World is always changing, and that’s part of the fun in visiting often.

Just this year, we’ve seen the opening of a brand new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, as well as the reopening of a classic attraction, Country Bear Jamboree, which got a new show. Test Track in EPCOT is currently closed to be reimagined. However, it’s not just rides that are changing in Disney World — the food is always changing, too, and one Disney World restaurant just announced it will be debuting a new menu.

Cosmic Rewind opened as and continues to be EPCOT’s first and only roller coaster. It takes you through the galaxy on a mission to save Earth (Terra) from a Celestial named Eson (or Eson the Searcher). You go screaming through space with Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord to stop Eson from destroying Earth. There is awesome music, twists, and lots of turns through this high-speed roller coaster. As much as we LOVE this ride, there is one change that we are waiting on.
After reaching a tentative agreement, four unions representing Disneyland Cast Members have officially struck a deal.

Union members had previously voted to authorize the strike, with 99% approving the plan — but Disney and the unions were able to come to an agreement before a strike ever took place. Now, the unions have agreed to a historic pay increase.
