Until today, Tokyo Disneyland has been under a state of emergency with the rest of the city. Now, the Japanese government has lifted the global health crisis state of emergency in the remaining four areas that it applied to — Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama, and Hokkaido.

Shanghai Disneyland
There are a lot of pieces in motion for Disney right now! There are reopenings scheduled to begin soon, ongoing government timelines, and special events coming down the road. Having trouble keeping track of it all?
These are the ten most important Disney dates you need to know!
Earlier this week, it was announced that Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on May 11th, and just yesterday Walt Disney World announced that Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening of the shopping and dining district on May 20th. However, aside from Shanghai Disneyland, all other Disney Parks remain closed until further notice due to the current global situation.

And an update on the Tokyo Disney Resort website reveals the closure of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea remains extended. While no official reopening date had been proposed, the website previously stated that a reopening date announcement would be determined in mid-May. [Read more…]
