2024 has been FULL of huge Disney announcements.
Back in August, Disney announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, new movies and shows we’ll be able to see in theaters and on Disney+, and so much more! We’ve recently learned that Bob Iger’s successor will now be announced in 2026 and that Lightning Lane Premier Pass is coming to Disneyland and Disney World. But soon, we’re expecting even more news to drop from the Walt Disney Company.
Booking your Disney World hotel can be more complicated than you may think.
Deciding where to stay in the first place is a challenge, considering there are over 20 different hotels on property to choose from, but there’s also the matter of getting the best deal. The lowest prices are almost always going to be at Disney World’s Value resorts while the Deluxe hotel stays will cost you the most (and Moderate resorts are in the middle), but Disney often has deals and discounts that can help you save. In fact, they have them so often that we’re telling you to NEVER book your hotel for full price.
Okay, so we witnessed some changes this week in Disney World.
One of those changes was the opening of The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers (and y’all, we visited it SEVERAL times — you know — for science). We also ate a giant mozzarella stick for science because, well, cheese. Plus there were loaded fries (yes, our job is SO HARD LOL). However, the BIGGEST change we saw this week was with Disney World restaurant menus, so let’s get into those updates. We hope you’re sitting down for this.
You do know that Disney World isn’t just a theme park experience, right? It’s also a food lover’s paradise.
Now, I know you already know about the classic park snacks (I see you Dole Whip), but did you know that some of the most unforgettable bites are hiding at Disney World’s hotels? They’ve got everything you could ever want — from mouthwatering sweets to savory bites. So let’s talk about a couple of iconic Disney World hotel snacks that we always go for. Ready to dive in?
There are always new things coming to Disney World and old things being refurbished! Disney World is constantly changing, and that is part of what makes it magical, but it isn’t so magical when you don’t realize something is scheduled to be closed.
If you are heading to Disney World this week, there are a few closures you will want to know about. We don’t want to be caught by surprise when something you wanted to visit isn’t open.
The 2024 holiday season hasn’t even begun, but yes it’s true — it’s already time to start planning your 2025 Christmas trip to Disney World!
The holiday season is one of the busiest times in Disney World. With lots of families heading to the resort to celebrate the season, things tend to book up super quickly. And that means you need to be on the ball when it comes to planning your trip, even if it is still over a year out!
Could an innovative Disney World hotel take the resort to a whole new level?
Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe has been making waves since it announced an opening date of May 22nd, 2025. The new theme park will feature several themed lands and a brand-new hotel — Universal Helios Grand Hotel — INSIDE the park. It’s been a popular practice to compare the future of Universal Orlando to Disney World’s future, which begs the question: will Disney World try its hand at putting a hotel inside one of its parks?
Hey, friends! We’re back with another DFB Video covering all the latest Disney news!
We’ve got thoughts from the first day of Lightning Lane Premier Pass in Disneyland; Epic Universe tickets are on sale NOW, and are the giant cake slices at The Cake Bake Shop worth the hefty price tag? We’ve got the tea (or should I say pink hot cocoa?)

If there’s one thing we’re passionate about here at DFB, it’s food. We are Disney Food Blog, after all!
That’s why we’re always on the lookout for the latest and greatest eats that pop up around the Disney World parks and more. A long-awaited addition to Disney’s BoardWalk finally opened not too long ago, and now we’re headed back to try something NEW they just added to their menu!
