Undoubtedly you know how much magic there is at Disney World‘s theme parks by now!
But we bet you didn’t realize your Disney World resort hotel can be just as MAGICAL!
There are LOTS of hotel rooms in Disney World…as in more than 36,000 hotel rooms. Yowza. And yes, some of those are better than others.
Some of the Disney World resorts sport some pretty crazy rooms. Ever seen those Bungalows at the Polynesian? Yeah, those cost about $3 grand PER NIGHT, sometimes more. There are some hotel rooms though that are actually worth the price of the upgrade. Let’s take a tour and we’ll tell you why!
There are a LOT of resorts at Walt Disney World and many of them have special ‘secrets’ that you may not know about!
From big moments in U.S. and world history to fun facts, secret rooms, and hidden menus, there are some PRETTY interesting things going on at the Disney World hotels! See how many of these you already knew about — or check some of these things out next time you’re at the resorts.
Who’s having MAJOR Disney Parks withdrawal right now?? Us, for sure!
Although Disney World is closed, we’ve been building our own homemade attractions, creating some crazy Minnie Ears, and watching how the Disney Parks were made. And, now we’re taking you INSIDE an empty Disney World that you’ve probably never seen before.
Sometimes after a long week at work, a Disney fix is just what you need! Sure, there are plenty of great Disney+ shows to watch and DIY activities to do to help you relax. But it’s also fun to get in the kitchen and blow off that steam in a tasty way!
Since we love recreating our favorite Disney treats, we’ve been baking up a LOT of Disney recipes (and wearing our stretchy pants while we’re doing it, obviously).
While we miss the rides and shows at Disney World, we’ve especially been missing all the FOOD.
Even though we don’t know when the parks will reopen since they’re closed indefinitely, we do know exactly which snacks we’re making a beeline for. And, you might want to wear your stretchy pants the next time you’re in Disney World because you’re going to want all of these!
We’re feeling a strong urge to splurge coming on! Luckily for us, we know all the best places to find some of Disney World’s priciest stuff! Come along with us and let us spoil you, TOO!
Who’s ready to roll like a Disney World VIP? You are? That’s good because here we go!
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto has been #OntheList for us here at DFB since it first opened at the Polynesian Resort.
And, while there are plenty of great places to grab a drink or two in Disney World, the Grog Grotto is unique with its eclectic atmosphere, delicious eats, and exotic drinks (like the Nautilus). Although it’s one of the best spots to relax or party in Disney World, now you can celebrate Grog Grotto style at home with this live stream!
Currently, the four Walt Disney World theme parks (and both water parks) are temporarily closed as part of the efforts to promote safety due to concerns over the Coronavirus. However, following closure of the parks, select areas of the Resort remained in service of guests during a transitional phase.
As the Resort went through its closing phases, we continually updated this post daily as various parts of the Resort begin their temporary closures, and we are keeping it current at this time. Here is an at-a-glance list of the status of Disney World operations.
Last night, it was announced that the Walt Disney World Resort hotels will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2020 to take precautionary measures in response to the Coronavirus.
While the Resort hotels remain open, alterations are being made to Resort services such as transportation and store and dining operations in Disney Springs. Resort restaurants will be open to guests, including Character Meals. However, guests will want to be aware that there may be modifications to character dining experiences this week. (And also note that if you are relying on Disney transportation to get to a restaurant that is located at a different Resort than where you are staying, that all Disney transportation will be suspended starting the morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2020.)
