In Disney World, you can get everything from exotic cuisine to fancy meals that are made with the finest ingredients. But sometimes, you just want to travel back in time to when things were simpler!
There are multiple retro diner-style restaurants in Disney World, but one of our favorites has to be Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. This iconic spot is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and we’ve loved it in the past, but we decided to make another trip recently to see if it still stacks up to our standards. Let’s go!
If we’ve learned anything from dining at every restaurant in Disney World, it’s that the food experience varies wildly from place to place!
Not every restaurant in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs is going to knock your socks off, but not all of them are bad either (in fact, some are pretty outstanding!). You may expect that if you’re staying at one of Disney World’s Value Resorts that you’ll end up with “bad” food at your hotel. But is that really the case? Recently we stopped by one of the food court-style restaurants to do a full review and find out!
A brand NEW restaurant has arrived in Disney World!
Quite a few new restaurants are actually headed to Disney World in 2023, including Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs and The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk. But you don’t have to wait to try this next spot because it is open now! It’s not the cheapest though, so let’s dive into whether it’ll be worth YOUR money.
Here at Disney Food Blog, we talk about Disney World food a LOT. But we also want to make sure we give the West Coast some love!
Disneyland Resort has dozens of delicious restaurants, plenty of seasonal eats, and some snacks that could throw down against Disney World snacks any day and WIN. So whether you’re a Disneyland newbie or you’re a regular visitor, we’re here to share our thoughts on the dining at Walt’s original resort. And on a recent visit, we stopped by to review Cafe Orleans!
Get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
Roundup Rodeo BBQ will officially open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on March 23rd and reservations for the restaurant are now open. We’ve shared all kinds of details about this spot — from a look at the menu to details you’ll find within the restaurant, and more. But we got the chance to eat a ton of things from the menu and we’re sharing our honest thoughts!
Almost three years after Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, things are finally starting to return to some semblance of normal.
We’ve seen more character meet and greets return to the parks. More restaurants are finally reopening. Some buffets are also returning to Disney World restaurants, including one at a very popular character dining experience. So we’re headed over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort to check out the returning buffet at Chef Mickey’s.
Should you LEAVE Magic Kingdom to eat?
While there are a few tasty snacks and treats inside this popular park, we usually recommend heading out to one of the nearby hotels for your meals. That’s not to say there isn’t good food in Magic Kingdom (although it’s not one of the best parks for foodies, in our opinion) — there’s just a lot of GREAT food at the hotel restaurants! Steakhouse 71, ‘Ohana, and California Grill are a few of our favorite sit-down restaurants, but what about counter-service meals? Come with us to test out a fast food-style restaurant that’s just a Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom. [Read more…]
Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure is known for Southern California-inspired cuisine, specialty cocktails, and entree prices around $50. Whew.
But what if we told you there’s another way to experience this iconic Disneyland spot WITHOUT breaking the bank? We’re headed to the accompanying Carthay Circle Lounge – Alfresco Dining to try out the much-loved bar service and small plates — with a more palatable price tag.
When planning your visit to EPCOT, you have seemingly endless dining options!
You could check out spots like Garden Grill or Space 220 in the front of the park, not to mention the dozens of restaurants all around the World Showcase. So how do you decide where to eat? Well, it’ll probably depend on what you like to eat, your budget, and a bunch of other factors. And if Nine Dragons Restaurant in the China Pavilion has made it on your shortlist, you’ll definitely want to keep reading!
