We’ve been anxiously awaiting the opening of Chef Hung Huynh’s new Downtown Disney spot Asian Street Eats since we heard it would be opening soon!

And now the wait is finally over! Well, almost! We’ve got our order in, and we’re just waiting for our pager to go off!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a LOT of fantastic dining options.
For starters, there’s all-you-care-to-eat ‘Ohana, where family-style sides accompany huge skewers of grilled meat. Then there’s Kona Cafe, where plated table service meals — most with an island twist — fill diners’ stomachs. This one also offers a super fun character breakfast! And we can’t forget Tambu Lounge, where you can get not just the iconic Lapu Lapu (served in a pineapple!) but can also now order up favorite ‘Ohana bites like noodles, chicken wings, and (of course) ‘Ohana Bread Pudding. Then there’s Pineapple Lanai, where you can satisfy your craving for all things Dole Whip. Finally, we have two words for you: Twilight Feast (AKA — the most awesome in-room dining option on earth!).
But if you’re not full on swirls of fruit and Pineapple Coconut Bread, there’s a proper quick service option, too: Capt. Cook’s! Located on the lower level of the Great Ceremonial House with an exterior entrance on the Lagoon-side of the Resort and an interior entrance off the lobby en route to Trader Sam’s, Capt. Cook’s serves up a small menu — much smaller than the large food courts at Moderate and Value Resorts — of both Polynesian-inspired eats and American classics.

We recently stopped by for a bit of (last minute) holiday shopping, and found ourselves in need of dinner. We love SO many options at Disney Springs — from fried chicken at Homecomin’Â to the most delicious ribs at Morimoto Asia, it’s a foodie’s paradise!
But this day called for a little of this and a little of that, and we knew the perfect place to go. It was time to visit one of our favorite spots — Wine Bar George!

OK, I know most people probably don’t think it’s fun to write a blog post on Christmas Eve while their family is playing games at the kitchen table, but 1) I don’t want to play Minecraft on their giant family realm, and 2) THIS IS SUCH GOOD NEWS I COULDN’T HELP MYSELF!!! Now, yes, I did mention that our amazing DFB reporting team was spending the holidays at HOME with their FAMILIES; but it just so happened that one of our incredible team members swung by the Boardwalk in Disney World after all and was delighted to pop into Beaches and Cream for their soft opening today! Win-win!

We recently found ourselves at Caribbean Beach Resort (Maybe we were on a Skyliner Crawl. Who’s to say? 😉 ) and in need of a little lunch! While we’ve enjoyed (for the most part) the renovation at Banana Cabana and Centertown Market. we decided to check out Caribbean Beach’s other, somewhat secret Quick Service Spot: Spyglass Grill.
SAY WHAT? Caribbean Beach has another Quick Service Restaurant? You bet your (pirate) booty it does! Spyglass Grill is located in the Trinidad “neighborhood” — about a 10-minute walk from the main dining and pool area. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and on mobile order!), the spot offers its own unique menu of burgers, tacos, drinks, and more.

We’re taking a trip to the brand new Disney World DVC property, Disney’s Riviera Resort, to experience dinner at Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera.

Opening nightly at 5:00 PM, this rooftop restaurant features signature dining complete with fireworks views, so advance dining reservations are strongly recommended. Topolino’s Terrace is inspired by cliffside restaurants in France and Italy, and cuisine features regional mediterranean favorites.

Of course, that means we’re also stopping by Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera to do a FULL REVIEW of their Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends experience, and you’ll definitely see some familiar faces.
