The arrival is getting closer… Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine — an upcoming restaurant headed by Chef Art Smith — is coming to Disney Springs soon!

Orlando My Way from WESH TV got a Sneak Peek at the space… and the MENU!

It’s all Southern fare and fun, starting with… well, the Starters! Items like Church Lady Deviled Eggs and “Bunch of Puppies” with Pimento Cheese (I. LOVE. HUSHPUPPIES!).

“Buns & Such” features a Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Fried Catfish Sandwich. But it’s the Main Plates that are especially eye-catching, I think. We’re gonna focus on the poultry here… what with Fried Chicken & DOUGHNUTS and Art’s Fabulous Fried Chicken on the menu! (Pair those up with some Cheddar Cheese Biscuits or Momma’s Mac and Cheese under the Sides menu!)

Review: Frontera Cocina by Rick Bayless in Disney Springs

is the latest Table Service addition to the Disney Springs dining scene!

Frontera Cocina is headed by Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless. It’s located in the Town Center of Disney Springs, which still has a few eateries on the way throughout the summer; among them, Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine and Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza.

Chef Bayless may be best known as the host of the PBS show “Mexico—One Plate at a Time” (though he has received numerous accolades throughout his career), and Frontera Cocina likewise showcases authentic Mexican cuisine.

You’ll find Frontera Cocina right across from Sprinkles (though, since Sprinkles is still new itself, more familiar landmarks are seen just across the walking bridge — spots like Raglan Road and Morimoto Asia).

News: Coca-Cola Store Orlando Opens July 2nd at Disney Springs

Just when you thought they couldn’t possibly fit one more thing at Disney Springs, we’ve got news of another grand opening happening TOMORROW, July 2!

The Coca-Cola Store Orlando officially opens tomorrow, giving guests the chance to experience the world’s most iconic beverage brand in the comfort of an “immersive retail destination.” Sounds pretty cool, right?

The spot is inspired by a 1920s-era bottling plant, in keeping with the historic vibe of Disney Springs – the entryway even pays homage to the iconic Coca-Cola green glass bottle. Once inside the shop you’ll want to look up and check out the 30-foot-wide blown-glass chandelier crafted from re-purposed Coca-Cola bottles.

News: Several Disney World Restaurants to Participate in Dine Out for #OrlandoUnited

If you are in Disney World or anywhere around the Orlando area on June 30, 2016, we would like you to know about Dine Out for #OrlandoUnited — a city and statewide event in which participating restaurants all across Orlando and the rest of Florida are helping to raise money to benefit the OneOrlando Fund supporting the victims of the recent tragedy at The Pulse, and their families.

Sneak Peek: Menu Pictures from Paddlefish, Opening in Disney Springs This Fall

In late April, it was announced that Paddlefish is coming to Disney Springs. Formerly Fulton’s Crab House, this spot will keep its focus on fresh seafood in a Signature dining venue… albeit in an updated, modernized setting.

Though we have to wait until this Fall for Paddlefish to open (with a late November estimate), the culinary team is already hard at work creating dishes for the restaurant; and over the past few weeks they’ve been sharing “Sneak Peeks” via their Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. That’s right – the Disney Springs gelateria is turning a year old! This spot has been serving scoops of housemade gelato (with many ingredients imported directly from Italy), sorbet, specialty espresso beverages and baked goods since last June when it first opened its doors. What a difference a year makes, huh? Since Vivoli il Gelato opened, it has been joined in Disney Springs by spots like Joffrey’s Tea Traders Café, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, Morimoto Asia, and The Ganachery… and that’s JUST in The Landing neighborhood alone! All of that makes this first birthday for Vivoli il Gelato even more momentous, seeing as it can now be considered one of the bona fide veterans of the Disney Springs dining locations added over the past year.
