We’ve been eagerly awaiting any update about a possible reopening of the theme parks at Disneyland Resort.

Under the current California theme park reopening guidelines, Orange County — where Disneyland is located — must reach the lowest (yellow) tier in California’s system. Most recently, the county had remained in the red (3rd) tier, but today that has changed.
The theme parks at Disneyland Resort may be closed at the moment, but Disney is still making LOTS of progress on the NEW Avengers Campus area that is set to come to Disney California Adventure Park soon!

We’ve seen some updates about the project, but today we got even more photos about some of the attractions and more coming to this new area.
Over the past several weeks, many states and communities across the nation have noticed a rise in positive cases as we head into cold and flu season, where cooler temperatures draw more people indoors and family gatherings become a regular part of our holiday season.

In response to the rise in cases and to continue to flatten the curve, the states of California, Oregon, and Washington have released a joint travel advisory to their residents.Â

Although Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park will be reopening soon, it appears the theme parks themselves are not expected to fully reopen for quite some time.

Disneyland Resort is still mostly closed, but Downtown Disney is open for business, and soon, California Adventure’s Buena Vista Street will open with limited shopping and dining.
