If you’ve been following Disney parks news, then you know that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is coming soon to Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom!

The Princess and the Frog-themed ride is replacing Splash Mountain at both Disney World and Disneyland Resort, and construction is well underway on both coasts. As part of the updates, gift shops near the ride will be getting some big changes.

Using Genie+ on the My Disney Experience app
The app gives you TONS of super useful information and even lets you book Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations, sign up for virtual queues, make dining reservations, Mobile Order food, and so much more. Well, we just recently discovered a NEW addition to the app that will make dining even easier in both Disney World AND Disneyland Resort.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is “Almost There” (yes, we’ll be referencing songs from The Princess and the Frog FOREVER).

We’ve been following construction on both versions of the ride in Disney World and Disneyland. We’ve learned a LOT about some of the characters we’ll get to meet as we float down the bayou. We’ve also learned a bit about the new gift shops coming to Disney World and Disneyland. But what about merchandise? There HAS to be merchandise, and well, there OBVIOUSLY has to be ears. Well, we’ve got a first look at the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Minnie Ears!
Not one, not two, but SIX new restaurants are coming to Downtown Disney, and some of them are opening as early as NEXT MONTH!

Matterhorn Bobsleds
We know, it’s frustrating for guests who want to experience the attraction when it’s unavailable, but if the ride isn’t kept in good shape, it could break down for even longer. That’s why Disney schedules refurbishments exactly when they’re needed for short times (not if you’re Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, though, then you’ll take forever). If you’re in Disneyland soon, beware that this ride is closing for TLC!
A brand-new Disney festival is starting SOON!
Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure
The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival is still going on through April 22nd, but Season of the Force just started over in Disneyland and runs through June 2nd. ANOTHER festival, Pixar Fest, will begin on April 26th and run through August 4th. It will span both parks (Disneyland and Disney California Adventure), Downtown Disney, and beyond. Pixar Fest will bring even more NEW food to the park, and we now have the FULL menus for the festival FOOD BOOTHS!Â
Disney just dropped a TON of updates about all the changes coming to Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort.

We FINALLY got an opening timeline for Din Tai Fung, a Disneyland restaurant we are SO excited about. But before we talk about what’s coming, we need to talk about what’s GONE. A restaurant recently closed in Downtown Disney, and Disney didn’t waste any time telling us what would go in that location. Two MORE new restaurants are coming soon. Say what?!
We’ve got some sad news from Downtown Disney in Disneyland Resort — another closure is taking place.

In March, it was announced that Tortilla Jo’s would be closing forever, but then they extended their closure date by a week. However, that week has come to an end, and the restaurant will close permanently on April 8th.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
April 5th marked the beginning of the Season of the Force! This special Star Wars season runs through June 2nd and celebrates the mega-popular franchise and all of us fans. Over in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge, the celebration is just starting with character meet-and-greets, specialty snacks, and even a new fireworks show that’s just arrived on Batuu (er, Disneyland).
Are you ready for the best Halloween Party to ever grace the West Coast? Well, we’re looking forward to this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure and we finally have NEW details!

Now, Disney did recently confirm that Oogie Boogie Bash would return this year (like we knew it would). That’s about all we know about this year’s event, but we’ve been to a few of these parties, so we can probably figure out what this year’s event could hold.
