Disneyland is THE place to be right now.
2023 Lunar New Year Festival
Disneyland just dropped 15 NEW snacks, so that’s obviously something to get super excited about. But the Lunar New Year Festival also begins soon in Disney California Adventure and even MORE new food will be coming to that park. Well, we’re already starting to see signs of that festival popping up, including some food booths.
It’s an age-old argument: Disneyland vs. Disney World.

Now, those who have been to both parks have arguments on why their favorite is the best. However, it’s hard NOT to be biased towards Disneyland just because it’s the CLASSIC and original park where Walt strolled down Main Street, U.S.A. Hey, his apartment is still there! But there’s something even MORE important that makes us choose Disneyland over Disney World, and that is THE FOOD. Yep, we said it. Disneyland food > Disney World food.
We’ve seen a LOT of change happening in Disneyland over the past year.
Pixar Place Hotel
ToonTown got a WHOLE revamp WITH a new ride (well, new to Disneyland — we’re talking about Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway). Construction for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is underway, while a brand new Tiana-themed restaurant has opened. We also have seen Paradise Pier Hotel begin to morph into Pixar Place Hotel, and now a brand new cafe has opened there!
It’s a New Year, which means the holiday snacks are officially gone from Disneyland.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
While we’re waiting to indulge in some Lunar New Year goodies, though, we’ve got some new Disney treats to tell you about. Well, there are three NEW treats and a hot returning item at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, one of our FAVORITE counter-service restaurants in Disneyland. PLUS, another new treat landed over at Disney California Adventure. So come with us as we eat ALL FIVE.

2024 is the Year of the Dragon, the park will mark its arrival with the annual Lunar New Year celebration, which takes place from January 23rd through February 18th this year. Now, don’t get us wrong, we’ve enjoyed a lot of the holiday treats at Disney World, but Disneyland just seems to go a little harder on the food pretty much year-round. Where else are you going to get a Waffle version of the Monte Cristo? Or a Cinnamon Roll Pretzel? Well, let’s just say we tried three NEW snacks in Disneyland, and well, Disneyland has done it again.

We STILL remember the chaos surrounding the Figment Popcorn Bucket in 2022, after all. Popcorn buckets, in general, tend to be highly popular with collectors. Of course, we can’t forget about pins, either. But one of the most coveted collectibles could be the Trader Sam’s Tiki Mugs.
