Will We Actually See a SKYLINER and NEW RIDES at Disneyland Resort?

If you’ve been following Disneyland Resort news for the past few years, then you may have heard about the proposed expansion to the parks.

Unlike Disney World, the Disneyland Resort parks are landlocked in the middle of a city, with not a lot of room for growth and expansion due to surrounding businesses and hotels. However, in 2021, Disney proposed a project called DisneylandForward, which would allow the resort to fill in some unused space on the property to add more attractions and offerings to the theme parks. Progress on getting this plan approved has been slow, but now we have an update.

NEWS: ‘Frozen’ Land Teased for Disneyland Resort

Ever since 2013, Disney fans can’t stop singing songs like “Let It Go” or “For the First Time in Forever”. That’s because Frozen was a MAJOR hit in movie theaters!

Over the past 10 years, Disney has been adding bits of Frozen into the parks and we see long lines for things like Frozen Ever After and the Anna and Elsa meet and greet in EPCOT. Even Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a Frozen Sing-Along (yes, we visit it often)! But now Frozen expanding to two of the other Disney theme parks…and it may be coming to one more.

We’ve Got a BIG Update on the Proposed Disneyland Expansion Project

A LOT is happening in Disneyland right now.

Sleeping Beauty Castle

A new updated ToonTown opened earlier this year, with Disneyland’s own version of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Tarzan’s Treehouse is becoming Adventureland Treehouse. A new Tiana-themed restaurant has also opened and construction is still underway for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride. But Disneyland has also been working with the City of Anaheim to loosen some restrictions that could mean an expansion for the resort.

OPENING DATE Announced for NEW Disney Store

Disney has already announced that a NEW store is coming to Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park (at Disneyland Resort) in mid-September. The store will be called Avengers Vault and will feature “Infinity Saga Relics…apparel and other fan-favorite merchandise.” But now, NEW details have been released!
