If you didn’t already know, Southern California is currently under a state of emergency as an atmospheric river has hit the area for the second time in less than a week. Atmospheric rivers are narrow tunnels of wind and water vapor that can bring tumultuous rain storms and flooding given the proper environment. Eight counties, including Orange County, have been put under a state of emergency while Santa Barbara, San José, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties have been issued mandatory evacuations. Now, Disneyland’s hours have been affected.
In early February 2024 Disneyland Resort went under a state of emergency.
After severe weather impacted much of California over the weekend, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for eight counties — including Orange County, where Disneyland Resort is located. But, Disneyland remained open through the storms and we’re giving you a look at what it was like to be in the park under a state of emergency.
